And here's what people were worried about for the school children...

Quote:
An elementary school class in New Jersey was reportedly videotaped singing songs praising the "great accomplishments" of President Obama as they are apparently conducted and coaxed on by teachers.

Nearly 20 young children are captured in an online video as they sing songs that overflow with campaign slogans and praise for "Barack Hussein Obama," as they repeatedly chant the president's name and celebrate his accomplishments, including his "great plans" to "make this country's economy No. 1 again."

The kids, who were videotaped at B. Bernice Young Elementary school in June, according to a YouTube posting, sing lines including: "He said we must be clear today/Equal work means equal pay."

The author of the lyrics is unknown, but a woman -- possibly a teacher -- can be heard in the beginning of the video correcting and helping a student who has forgotten the words

The office of the superintendent of Burlington Township School District did not provide comment or confirmation that the songs were recorded at Bernice Young Elementary when contacted by phone Thursday.

Poor stupid little kids, they are just doing what they are told, but the teachers are trying to push an agenda. I'd be livid as a parent, no matter WHAT President was in office.

The man is absolutely idolized. It is scary.

And honestly, I don't see any competition for him in 2012, no matter what he does. Prepare to be pissed off again after his re-election. He'll probably have the laws rewritten to allow a third term / indefinite term and have his congress push it through.

Unbelievable....I find it very troubling the similarities of Jesus Loves the Little Children lyrics "red and yellow, black and white they are precious in His sight" and this song. It's as if they are equating obama to Jesus.

It's going to be weird after Barry's terms are over. I mean, who will the next idiot from the fag party be? You always think, they can never get any worse. But they keep dredging up more scum. It will be interesting to see how the next guy they manage to get in office acts. As per the trend, he will be a complete and utter dimwit, along with being a pacifist coward. But if things keep going the way they have, the guy will AT LEAST need to be a convicted felon. And after that guy, a known terrorist. Eventually though, sadly, the lead will fly.

Although, I do have to ask. What's the point in trying to get a bunch of 5 year olds to praise you? As the prez, I mean. By the time those kids are even able to vote, you will have long since been out of office. Hell, you might be dead, depending how old you were when you did it. So WTH is the point? Getting them to say things like "praise bush" or "praise barry" or whatever, seems kinda pointless. Maybe if they were saying something like "praise the democratic party".

However I would say to their face, "As your boss, quit trying to endoctrinate my kids. You talk to me. They are not even registered voters." I think politicians need to hear that whole "boss" thing a lot more. They forget who they work for, but we'll remind em.

You don't realize how impressionable children are, especially in grade school. I started having conservative views by the time I was 8 years old. I knew that it wasn't fair that the poor kids in school got free milk and lunches but I had to pay for it. Meaning I definitely was not going to be a socialist and didn't believe in entitlements. Had I received the free lunches I might be a liberal today, who knows.

TAylor.

Did you even read the link you posted?

The fact we wanted to check was the question that immediately popped into our head when we saw the video, "Did this really happen at a public school?"

The short answer is yes
. It happened at B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington Township, N.J. That's a public school in the Burlington Township School District. In the video, about 18 second-graders are in an auditorium singing two songs about Obama.

Here's some lyrics to the first song:

"Mm, mmm, mmm!

Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand

To make this country strong again

Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today

Equal work means equal pay

Mmm, mmm, mmm!"

The second song is set to the tune of The Battle Hymn of the Republic.

"Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!

For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say "hooray!"

Hooray, Mr. President! You're number one!

The first black American to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans

To make this country's economy No. 1 again!"

According to school district officials, the video was shot in February 2009 and was part of a program to recognize famous and accomplished African Americans during Black History Month.

"There was no intention to indoctrinate children," District Superintendent Christopher Manno said in a released statement. "There was no political agenda underlying the activity."

So....

It happened, at a public school, they were taught to sing about Obama and how great he is. There isn't a lie here, it's not taking it out of context. Did they sing about King? No. It was political despite what the district wants to say.

I don't remember. One or two. I think they jammed everyone into one song and then had one specifically for MLK or some other dude. That was too long ago to remember.

No, I don't. He's not black, he's biracial. And we aren't lookign at his race...are we? It's political ploy to indoctrinate kids under the very thing guise of "He's black, black history month...bingo." Personally I believe we shouldn't have black history, gay history, women's history months at all. We either all or equal or we're not.

It was enough to warrant the New Jersey Department of Education to order a review for "inappropriate partisan politics in the classroom." Not to mention all the angry parents that felt like their kids were being indoctrinated.

I don't recall ever having to sing any songs that extol a sitting President. Do you?

Children are impressionable. I think you are not seeing the forest for the trees.

That's great and all, but they're not just recognizing him. They're praising him for his "great accomplishments" (which are?) and his "great plans to make this country's economy number one again." Sweet, retardedly ridiculous and irresponsible spending driving up the deficit is a great plan! Just breeding more liberal morons to put more socialists in office in 10-15 years.

Maybe it wasn't right of them to do it, but it's not like it was an order given to the school from the White House. I doubt the 6-7 year olds knew what they were saying aside from Obama's name and that's why I don't think it's a big deal.

Wouldn't have a problem with it at all. The kids don't have the slightest clue what they're singing and, unless it's made up to be a big deal like this and made infamous on YouTube , likely wouldn't remember it 5 years later.

Just as no one is surprised that you continue to exhibit the stellar qualities of a "Grade A Dipshit", day after day. Drool on yourself of late?

I remember songs from that age too. Kindergarden, we learned "Goodbye Mrs. Taylor" to sing every day to our teacher when it was time to go home.

Fuck you and your Obama worshipping ass

I just noticed the first part. If you'll reread what I posted, you'll see that I posted it was for the racist "black history month."

You said it was taken out of context you blathering idiot. The article does not disprove a damned thing. It does not prove a damned thing.

Honestly, I skimmed over it and misinterpreted a few things. I'm too busy at work to actually read the entire thing. Oh well.

The song was CLEARLY praising his policies, it was NOT a song celebrating the accoplishment of him being the first black President. I'm sorry, but it's impossible to make a whole song out of him just being the first black President. It was a song glorifying him. Taylor, you need to check yourself if you can't get passed your like of Obama enough to recognize that it's indoctrination, and I agree with the other posters, I remember the songs I used to sing as a kid. The ones I don't remember all the words to, I just need to hear the songs once to remember.

Taylor is back to licking Barry's nuts. I guess he's your pimp since you defend him so readily

I've pretty much decided im going libertarian
I can't even defend the republicans any more still allowing this socialist agenda to come forth
I don't want the government deciding jack shit about my life. Just look at any program they run - collosal fail
we're talking gpamp failure levels here. Incompetent fucksticks just want more and more programs and your MONEY. Now they've even sold out the dollar.
It's fucking over folks. Even if they taxed us into oblivion , the hole is too damn big.

What I really find sad/humorous is that it's a song praising his accomplishments...in February 2009. So less than 30 days in office...he accomplished...what?

Just proves to me that they have no clue what he's done/doing.
