Page 425 of health care bill

So I get an email from a friend talking about what is written on page 425 of the bill. To get to the point this is what she told me.

On page 425 is says that all on Social Security (including senior citizens and SSI people) will go to mandotory counseling every 5 years to learn and to chose from way to end your suffering ( and your life). Healt care will be denied based on age .500 billion will be cut from seniors healt care. The only way that will happen is to drastically cut healt care, the oldest and the most ill will be cut first.

So basicly the Goverment will force the senior citizens to go to mandory counseling to see if they can get convinced to kill themselves. I had heard about it but I thought their was no way it could be true. If anyone has more info on it share it.

You sir are 100% correct.

Our government needs our help, they have an addiction. Our government is addicted to our money. Since they always have our best interest at heart it's time we return the favor. We need to have an intervention, for the governments own good of course. It's just irresponsible for us to let people with a known money addiction continue to handle our money. Lets have an intervention now so we can help these sick individuals.

Im going to preface this by saying Im not for gov healthcare at all....but come on. You dont think that this was her interpretation of what is says?

I highly doubt the government would EVER tell you to help end your life. I really doubt it has anything to do with that.

They don't give a fuck about us. Wait till all of what is in that bill comes out, you may be singing a different tune.

Its funny how lawyers like to throw around crap as well. I saw a hearing not to long ago from the lawfirm that my girlfriends sister works at (no pics). The lawyers would throw out a page number in an employee handbook (the lawsuit was about sexual harassment) and they would just later amend their comments to correlate to the correct page numbers. It made them look smart...but that wasnt the case.

This is how BS gets started. I am in NO way for the proposed gov't healthcare system, but posting an unverified chain email and then bitching about it is just plain retarded. It ran rampant until the 8th poster, who was intelligent enough to find out for himself instead of perpetuating the BS. I hate Obama as much as the next person on this site, but jeez..are you people really gullible enough to believe that people will have to line up in their twilight years to find out if they will be put down like dogs?

The part I read that seemed close to what that chain email message is referencing, IS about end of life. However, it isn't about the government deciding when/how you're going to die. It's about setting up you're will, getting everything settles for when you do go, etc. I don's see how a suggestion to set up a will for a person who is about to have treatment for a life-threatening illness is a bad thing.
