George, Sr. lost in '92 because he couldn't stand behind 6 little words."Read my lips. No new taxes". He had won the Gulf War (with very few casualties), and things were going well economically. It didn't matter.

If Democrats only idea is to tax and spend, tax and spend, and has been for many, many years, why do they get elected into office every so often? Do people really think that their method of fiscal politics has changed?!

If he passes a middle class tax increase, he'll be taking a huge step towards being a one term President.

So is it worth the sacrifice?

Do the fuckers in D.C. not realize if they would quit spending frivolously then they might be able to quell the rising debt? Who the fuck doesn't see this??

They keep making it out like it's the American people's fault that they can't get the deficit down. I didn't do shit to rack up trillions in debt except elect jackasses to office.

I think we ought to vote on every issue that comes around. Elect a few to head a counsel of sorts, and then anytime something needs to be voted on the populace as a whole votes, not just a few who 'represent' the whole.

"Read my lips...No reelection"

Our prosperity and security are in our natural resources in this country as well as dropping taxes and massively cutting spending.

They don't fucking care. They don't have to deal with it, because their pockets are still fat. As long as they stay payed, they don't have any reason to change their ways. They might lose money if they did!

Come on 2010! get these worthless cunts out of there!

How many want to wager that they still try to push this health care thing through anyway? regardless of the nail in the proverbial coffin that it will be for the leftists

I can think of a couple of reasons.

The first one is that the kiddies get to vote without having any skin in the game. They are idealistic and think that everything that obama says is the truth. They think that healthcare for everyone is a great idea, and that the government can do no wrong.

As they get older and start paying taxes and owning property their view (hopefully) changes.

The second thing that happens is that the republicans don't practice sound fiscal policy while they hold office. Eventually the voters get pissed and throw them out of office. Happened with jimmy carter around 1976, and now it's happened with obama.

So every 20-30 years we get a liberal elected into office. Tax and spend happens, and they get thrown back out. IMO Obama is quickly burning up his "public credit" with the incredibly bad decisions being made in Washington, and all of the broken campaign promises. I see him as a 1 term president.

I don't see him making that. I hear impeachment. As soon as he hits a certain level of public hatred, the dems are going to pull back like you would from a leaper AND I am willing to bet his birth certificate mysteriously shows him to be a Kenyan.

I used to think the old people were bad with their sense of entitlement when it came to Social Security, medicaid/medicare. Then I started talked to young people about health care. You wouldn't believe the number of idiots who think health care is a "human right".

I'm not quite in the category of "old people" (Just a little gray) But I know why they tend to act so entitled, THEY PAYED FOR IT! This is not entitlement, this is paying in advance! This health care crap is entitlement.

For all the commies that think ripping us off for your health care........ Read my sig!

I like the whole "the economy will recover when americans start spending again"

Umm you think people are just gonna go back to the old ways? Im thinking people are gonna start stashing cash in the backyard like the old days after seeing so many peoples investments and savings wiped out. Course US dollars arent worth the paper its printed on so saving them isnt worth a shit anyways. Have to buy gold and stash that to keep value.

They actually punish people who try and save by lowering intrest rates. Its all done to keep this bullshit economy and fake wealth going.

The trouble with doing something right the first time is that nobody appreciates how difficult it was.
