Seems like people are wising up a little. Wonder if we will be to far past the breaking point when it comes time to get rid of him.

**Edit*
Never mind, been past that point since the stimulus.

I would imagine he'll maintain that 25-28% no matter what he does, just due to the part of the country that is hard left. The disapproval numbers are more telling to me, because those are the "independents" and so-called "moderates" that put him into office.

Ya, I'd second that.

I'm expecting (hoping) the disapproval to go up while the approval levels off.

It's important to keep in mind that many people are mad that he isn't doing enough. There are many people who hold it against him that health insurance bill isn't passed yet, the Cap and Trade bill is "too weak", etc.

That would be the 25-28% that will support him no matter what.

It is encouraging that the moderates are beginning to turn against obama. The hard line lefties will support him no matter what he does. This gives me some hope for the 2010 elections. And I still believe that a lot of people voted for obama more as a vote against bush and the republicans than as a vote for obama and his policies. They hopefully have learned a lesson as well.

I actually think the hardliners will abandon him as well because he is ruining their agenda.

Pelosi was already bitching about him getting some of the blue dog dems elected in places where a republican might have won, and now the blue dogs are blocking their agenda LOL.......

Those are the hard core left who would vote positively for anyone in the office who was a Democrat.

This is going to be great. We all know the economy isn't going anywhere for a while. He campaigned by blowing smoke up everyone's ass about at least SOME short term relief. And that has yet to be seen.

What is going to happen is, after the first of the year, you will see more democrats break ranks in Congress. Just in time to campaign for re-election. Whether it will be in order to appeal to the right or the far left they are going to attempt to distance themselves from the president in order to capitalize on his waning popularity.

2012 is a looooong ways off. I'm still aiming for him to be a one termer but a lot can change in three years.

Unfortunately, the problem is that he can do a lot of damage until then. Look to the deficit numbers as proof of that.

Hopefully in 2010 some dems will get kicked out of office and we can achieve congressional gridlock, stopping obama dead in his tracks.

LMAO the dude has lost 42 approval points since he got into office.

If this puts things into perspective for ya guys Bush left the office with a -30 rating .... In 190 days Obama has managed to grab a -12 for himself. Shit ... Bush hadn't hit these levels till around the last year of his presidency I think.
