Dems are asking Pelosi to step down....

according to a "Democratic Strategist" I saw on Fox News. He claims they do not feel she has properly helped Obama with his agenda. The guy even went so far as to say that she was to blame for the Stimulus Bill not having enough job creation and that it had been laden with pork for Democrats. They (the Dems who are revolting against her) also feel like she has not done enough to get the helathcare "tax"age pushed through.

The Dems are imploding in less than a year.

One of the scary things is that democrats think that "cap and tax" and obamacare don't go far enough! When I first saw that some democrats were against "cap and tax" I thought finally some reasonable democrats did exist but when I read that they were against it because it did not go far enough to put the USA out of business my jaw dropped.

Let her stay a little longer then next November things "might" start to turn around.

I agree, lets not be hasty. We have to let these pieces of shit stay in there for the run of this bad economy. They haven't even got out of first gear yet.

IF there is a silver lining to any of this.....
It will be watching the leftists implode during the next few years

First, they will continue to blame Bush\Cheney
Then they will expand to ALL Republicans
And then, right before the implosion... they will start feeding on each other...

I will just sit back, smile, and eat some popcorn.....

Excellent news! It would be awesome to see that party degenerate into complete chaos.

I say let them keep overplaying their hand. Their missteps just keep getting better, and the chance of electing conservatives in 2010 keeps going up also.

Couldn't agree more. Maybe the American people will think twice before giving over every check and balance to one party from here on out.

I feel they would replace her with someone even more nuts (is that possible??)

Hopefully, she'll be so upset by this that she goes on a backpack suicide mission to the democrats private party.

I found this today:

Quote:
Amid the intra-party struggle, Democratic consultant Dan Gerstein penned a column this week calling for Pelosi's ouster.

He told FOX News that on issue after issue, the speaker has hurt the president's efforts to set a new post-partisan tone in Congress.

The $787 billion stimulus, he said, was "too focused on paying Democratic constituencies and not enough on creating jobs."

The cap-and-trade climate bill that recently passed out of the House and is now in the Senate is a "Frankenstein monster."

The final stake, he said, is her guidance of a House health care bill that the Congressional Budget Office says will not control costs.

"That to me is a pretty strong record that she is not capable of moving his agenda," said Gerstein, who also cited a Politico.com poll this week showing 24 percent of people trust Pelosi.
Pretty damming. Her actions are also pissing off the blue dog dems. It makes you wonder what the haste is with passing all of these bills. Seems like her way or highway.

Its getting better.

Now, they're threatening their own:

Quote:
A key House committee chairman on Friday threatened to roll over moderate Democrats who are holding up the health care reform bill and bring the package straight to the floor.

The statement underscored the deep divisions the health care reform debate is causing in the ranks of the Democratic Party.

Fiscally conservative Blue Dogs are holding up the bill in the House Energy and Commerce Committee over cost concerns and other issues. But Chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif., on Friday accused those Democrats of empowering Republicans.

"I won't allow them to turn over control of the committee to the Republicans," Waxman said, threatening to bypass the committee process.

"I don't see what alternative we have," Waxman said of talks that have raged for days with the Blue Dogs. "This can't be an interminable discussion."

The radical move would mean Waxman would finish writing the bill in private and merge it with the two bills that have already passed out of the committee in the chamber before bringing it to the floor.

But such a move wouldn't necessarily serve Democratic leadership any good.

Nearly all 52 Blue Dogs are expected to vote against the health bill if it hits the House floor in its current form. That spells doom for the measure when coupled with unanimous Republican opposition.

Moreover, senior Blue Dog sources tell FOX News that bypassing the committee could only inflame the situation further.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has heard complaints in stereo from the liberal and conservative wings of her caucus. The Blue Dogs are giving her an earful with their grievances. But Friday, Pelosi met with the liberal Congressional Black Caucus, which implored the speaker not to cave in to the Blue Dog demands.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee is the only House panel yet to vote on the legislation -- the Education and Labor Committee and the Ways and Means Committee have approved their versions.

On Friday, multiple sources with the Blue Dogs told FOX News that they still don't have an agreement with the White House and Democratic leaders.

But Pelosi has said she's "confident" she has the votes and that she wants to bring the bill to a floor vote next week

If they force this through, it's not going to be pretty. They'll be removed, but the damage will be done.
