District of Columbia Gets a Seat in Congress

I am way late on this, I wonder if anyone here has seen it, The District of Columbia may be given a vote in the House of Representatives.

http://www.dcvote.org/advocacy/dcvra_111thmain.cfm

From what I am reading this was approved by the Senate, the House has yet to vote on it.

From what I can tell, the constitution never intended DC to have voting rights in congress, so I think this is BS.

"Constitution? We don't need no stinking constitution!"

That piece of paper means nothing to this administration.

Yeah, I don't see them trying to split factions of Texas to create new representation opportunities.

You have to be a STATE before you can have a representative.

Article 1:2
The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States, and the Electors in each State shall have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of the State Legislature.

Article 1:3
The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State for six Years; and each Senator shall have one Vote.

Article 4:3
New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union; but no new States shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or parts of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress.

All they have to do is make DC a state, and they get what they want. But not before. Let's hope the Supreme Court shoots it down. Oh wait...

I'm getting good at looking things up in the Constitution because of this administration...

I think that all politicians should have to prove that they have at least read the constitution.

That would be a good start.

Our government needs our help, they have an addiction. Our government is addicted to our money. Since they always have our best interest at heart it's time we return the favor. We need to have an intervention, for the governments own good of course. It's just irresponsible for us to let people with a known money addiction continue to handle our money. Lets have an intervention now so we can help these sick individuals.
