Obama's Change In Cuba Policy

Amid increasing excitement in the Cuban-American community, President Obama today finally made official his reversal of Bush administration travel restrictions to the long-ostracized communist island, the AP reports. Bush's '2004 policy' forbade Cuban-Americans from visiting nuclear family members on the island more than once every three years. Last month, Congress took the first step in easing restrictions by passing a budget version that divested funding from federal efforts to restrict travel, according to AFP. The announcement today goes even further by allowing unlimited travel and money transfers and easing rules that dictate what items may or may not be brought to the island.

So Bush placed the embargo on Cuba. Because I thought it went back to JFK. And I am pretty sure Clinton also placed some new embargo's on then all so. Maybe you have a different history book possibly it was written by the media?

You can't fix stupid, but you can vote it out.

The average obama teenage voter doesn't remember "before bush", so the media can have a field day blaming him for everything. There is no frame of reference, so the bright eyed but naive youngsters voted for style and change instead of substance. So we have another round of jimmy carter like policies and experiences to go thru.

Obama lifted the travel restriction to cuba that was imposed by Bush in 2004
Obama did not lift the embargo imposed by JFK
