The good hair guy did something correct, IMO

Quote:
Gov. Rick Perry set up a possible battle with the Legislature today by rejecting about $555 million from the federal government for expanded aid to unemployed Texans on grounds that the money would come attached with too many costly obligations.

Perry will not saddle Texas businesses with extra taxes in the future. Texas businesses will be at an advantage over businesses in other states that take the money. This will be a win for Texas in the future.

I don't know. Are there any strings attached? Typing of strings attached to money. Wallstreet didn't do what they should have done with the money, why should the states have to?

There's ALWAYS strings attached to any money the federal govt gives states. That's how they keep the states in check.

I need some road money to come in, so I can force my county to take over maintenance of my road. I'm going to use my native american blood to cry racism.

Like you want to make your other half pay for the booze, but don't have enough government cheese to do it with?

Roughly 202 million within a ten year period off the Dallas North tollway. 238 Million for the Tx121 deal and 179 million for the George Bush Turnpike.
