Talk about tin foils hats...

The right winger nut huggers on here crack me up. Whenever any concern was raised during Bush's reign, those folks were wearing tin foil hats.

Listen to yourselves now... All these panicky posts about collapse of the US dollar, dissolution of the USA via seccession, becoming a police state, becoming a Socialist state, Obama taking away all weapons above a kitchen knife & we're ALL going to killed by a terrorist.

Sounds like some of you bought a truck load of Reynold's Wrap, and are busy folding piles of "tin foil hats".

I did not vote for Obama, I don't particularly like his politics. But it's not like the stock market was 14,000 on January 19th, then 7200 on January 20th.

Get a grip folks, we've had Democrat Presidents before....and lived through it.

Do you think all these tin foilers will have an effect on the price of aluminum? I think alot of folks are just seeing things that havent happened in awhile and they are preparing themselves for what if circumstances. You know like back a few years ago when people were saying all this shit was gonna happen with housing etc. The ones that listened are alot better off than the ones who did not. I hope Obamas stimulus works but if it doesnt hes gonna have a long 4 years

Get off your high-horse and look at his fucking plans for our country.

You're constantly saying "I didn't vote for him, but.." sure sounds like a racist saying "I have black friends". For someone that didn't vote for Obama, you play fluff-girl for him a lot here.

I honestly think history will reflect positively on Bush, he had one of the roughest presidencies since FDR, and he accomplished his primary goals - I commend him for sticking to what he believes. But, that doesn't come without mistakes in his presidency.

With Obama, he's the most white sheet blank history president we've ever had. There is a hell of a lot to fear. When we had previous democrat presidents, we had a long history to decide what they're agenda would be, we don't have that here - this is new territory.

Scott's credibility is waning for me with posts' like this. The DOW doesn't know politics. It's reactive (almost instantaneously) with what's going on on the world. If you want to know what's going on in the world, watch the money guys...

Hey, I just post up what is fact. And succession is becoming a fact. Almost half of the states are throwing their hats in the succession ring. If you'd do some fact checking, you'd see it too. You insult us "right wing nut huggers" with your opinions, and thats fine. Thats your right. But how about doing some research for a few minutes. Its not just here that you hear about everything you listed. Alot of people are talking about most of what you mentioned, including the people that you elected into office.

Newbies, please watch THIS before posting.

We might have had Democratic presidents before, but what president have we had that's spit out this much money out of nowhere AND plans to throw out more?

I know you know enough to know that throwing all this money into an economy (in any way, but especially this way) will do nothing but delay the inevitable. This way we just create a shit load of debt and inflation to make the long crawl out of this hole even harder. This place was going to shit either way. The way this crisis was created (unjustified lending, over lending, and no accountability for defaulting on that lending); the only way out is through a brutal depression and rebuilding, not putting band-aids over everything, thus creating MORE DEBT.

The economy WILL collapse. All this is just going to make it harder to recover, IF it can at all. Once it happens, you will see a chain reaction. We're already seeing record lay-offs. Once people start running out of money by the masses, crime WILL increase. With record-high crime, the government will have to spend more money (a lot more money, IMO) to address the rise in crime. Oh wait, we've tripled our debt, our economy is wrecked and our dollar is worthless by this time. Who will lend to us?

If you can't see that as a worst-case-scenario, then you better work some rationale into your diet because it is coming. Maybe at different extremes than some think, but this chain of events WILL occur.

You know, I'm still baffled by how much Bush has done, yet still received no respect. He's actually one of the most successful presidents we've ever had, considering the issues addressed during his presidency. I guess the media's power of influence is at it's greatest these days. The media's rise to power needs to be reviewed. Now THAT'S how you do it!

Thats right, our economy is destroyed and our new president thinks government spending is going to fix it. But we got nothing to worry about.

I realize that the stock market, is to a degree..politically blind. I mentioned it mainly because some on here have mentioned that it's Obama's fault....well it was below 8000 back in November. The down ward spiral we're on started long before November 8th. And no one can fix it in 6 weeks, not Mitt Romney, not Fred Thompson, not Barrack Obama, not even George W Bush.

I know our economy is in bad shape, but it's not as bad as 1980-82, when I lived through 10% unemployment and 20% interest rates as a young adult. We may get there, but we're not there yet.

But I really was not commenting on the politics or economics of our current situation.

I was really addressing the actual posts on here...many apparently implying "the sky is falling". Only a few of those prior January 20th, and none before November 8th. Prior to November 8th, these types of posts would have gotten anyone a "tin foil hat leftwing nut hugger" label.

No, I was poking fun at the hypocracy of some you posting seemingly "end times" prophesies, when 4 months ago you would have insulted someone for that.
