More proof California is insane

It seems the state of California has let inmates sue them and the inmates have actually won the case. So basicly California is letting the crazies run the asylum. A 3 panel judge basicly told California that they need to release 57,000 inmates because they aren't getting proper medical care due to prisons being over populated. It sure would be some poetic justice if everyone of those judges and lawyers that represented the inmates had a family member that gets murdered by one of the released inmates. California needs to learn a lesson from Texas. The faster you kill them the sooner you can put a fresh warm body in the same bed.

are these actual convics? or just inmates waiting for their day in court because they could not pay a speeding ticket, or post bond.

It doesn't matter what the crime was. The case focused on the size of the prison population. I'm sure they have plenty of non violent offenders they can cut loose but after they've done that, they're screwed..

The EXACT same thing happened in Texas during the 80's through the Ruiz vs Estelle class action suite. The fed's actualy took over the state prison system for the better part of 15 years.
