Stimulus questions...

1. Why are we even considering any stimulus package that would increase spending and not be solely something to put money back into taxpayers hands?

2. Why would any lawmaker even consider that we should pay taxes to let them redistribute it instead of letting those who earned it decide where to spend it?

3. How did the liberals sell to the majority of Americans that they know better how to spend our money than the people who earned it in the first place?

4. I thought liberals didn't trust the government during the last 8 years, so why do they all of a sudden trust the government with more money?

Anyone who supports the stimulus package in any form have any answers for these questions?

BTW, I mean taxpayer to be defined as a person who has paid taxes.

You really think you're going to get a reasonable answer to those questions?

This is the era of perception. If people perceive that you are handsome, articulate, and well-spoken, then you are doing a great job. Especially if they think you are (LITERALLY) going to mail them checks to pay for their house note.

Unfortunately good looks and charm aren't actually going to pay any bills.

Does no one remember how the gov. e-mail system went down when they pushed the first huge stimulus package through, and now I do belive all is quite except for a few like me that can't stand any more taxes stuck down ours & our kid's and grandchildrens throats. Some people never learn they will just give it to the big wigs again who in turn will give themselves a great big bonus. Go figure

Yeah, I know but I am really pissed off by all of this and want someone to explain this BS in a way that would make me feel better.

It is kind of hard not to when it should be so obvious to everyone and yet millions of decent people voted for this crap on Nov. 4th. I am also very pissed at Republicans for waiting until the Messiah got elected to start having principles and standing up for them.

The same sheeple who were duped by obamas promises that they will get their piece of the pie for free, ignorant of or deliberately ignoring the fact that it is at our expense, will be the first ones whining when they reach retirement age and their social security "entitlements" are cut when the pot runs dry.

1. Because money in hand waiting to be spent represents power. The dems can shower whoever they want with money. After all, elections will roll around sooner or later. Send some of that porkulous to your new voter base and get reelected. And its not their money anyway.

2. See #1.

3. Snow job. Obama is a consummate politician, telling everyone what they wanted to hear, and taking advantage of new types of media. He came across as hip and young, an immediate vote getter for the young ones that don't recognize jimmy carter II as we older voters do. He also appealed to those that run on emotion rather than facts and voting record.

4. Because they have control of it now.

Sounds by your line of questioning that you are part of the minority that voted this year with an actual brain!
