It's over 12k square feet, not sure how many people they expect but I know they can seat 1200 there for a concert.

I'm holding out for a camping trip to Crawford

It's funny, my brother used to work for Jim Wright, my doctor is one of Ron Paul's kids, one of my best friends is Al Gore's cousin but I've met and get invited to Bush's party.

I got within a stones' throw of Reagan back in '84, but have never been able to shake the hand of a POTUS. I think it would be awesome just to speak to any of them...except Barry.

We had tickets to see him (last inaugeration?), stood in line for a couple hours, and made it literally into the metal detectors when they closed the doors due to reaching max cap. Fuck doing that again...

I gave plenty of money to the RNC, and haven't gotten mine.

I stood within 3 feet of Reagan in 1981. He was landing at Meacham Field & they needed a marching band at a moments notice. So Reagan's people called several high schools, mine said yes immediately. WE had like 4 hours notice. Being a trombone player I was on the first row & Reagan walked right in front of me.

He was here in Dallas for the RNC (I think), and I was sitting at a light when the Secret Service shut the intersection down. I got out of my truck as the limo was passing by with Ronnie waving out the window. I guess I could have touched his hand, but a nasty S.S. agent grabbed my shoulder and told me to get my "ass back in the truck!". It struck me later on, that Reagan had already been shot, and I really didn't have any business trying to do that.

It was a different world then, but yes, the memory is like it was yesterday. I voted for him, it was my first time to vote.

We waited in line at SMU for probably 3 hours, after waiting about 2 hours to get the tickets, BUT we made it in. Was one of the coolest things I have been able to do.
