Lightbulb Hillary Clinton to be Secretary of State

And Bill Clinton had to make a grocery list of concessions for this to come to fruition. And what an interesting partnership that will be considering how much they clashed on foreign policy during the campaign.

Well, the Democrats own the world right now. The onus is on them to make this country sink or swim. There will be no one to blame but themselves for any failures or perceived failures in Washington.

Obama for President, Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, and a Democratically controlled Senate/Congress. If someone would have presented me with this scenario just 5 years ago I would have urged them to seek psychiatric help. Life is truly stranger than fiction.

God help us.

I hope Obama gets everything he asks for, like Hillary for SOS, and he has to live with the results. If he succeeds, great, but if he fails he will have been exposed for the lightweight I suspect he and the Dems truly are.

He also selected Susan Rice as the ambassador to the UN. However he also is promoting the position to cabinet level, effectively giving Rice the same power as Hillary.

Since he promised that job to Caroline Kennedy I wonder what post he's giving her instead now. Maybe Hillary or Ted's senate seat?

So who will get Hillary's seat? Maybe Paterson will just put Bill in her seat?

I bet it's a Kennedy although Bill would be a good choice since he actually has a clue as to what the job entails.

5 years ago was 2003. And at that time, no, I would have never imagined a Democratically controlled universe such as it now. And after the 110th Congress set records for low approval ratings, it's not really logical that we reward that behavior by giving them more seats. However, that is the end result of the record straight ticket voters that bought the "Change" propaganda.

I'm afraid we're stuck from now on with the "pendulum effect' cause we don't have the nuts to bring up another party or correct the bullshit two we have. And we say we want "change"....

What will the third party solve? Why won't they just become the same thing we now have two of?

BTW, a truly conservative Republican party will solve all of my issues. Nominating McCain just insured Obama would win, it didn't do any good for anyone.

I watched a documentary on Hitler last night. During the documentary it spoke of the German people's thirst for change to their capitalist society. During his enthusiastic and persuasive speeches, Hitler offered change to the German people if they would just give him a few years to make it happen. The masses of people did not question the specifics of the change Hitler promised. After Hitler took power, many German people disapproved of what Hitler was doing, but they just kept to themselves and let it happen. Meanwhile, images of Hitler and Nazi merchandise continued to climb in sales and popularity.

Hitler definitely kept his promise of change. The country of Germany was in ruins when the Allies took control.

I just kept thinking of how parts of this closely resembled the US and Bama.

It takes him out of the running in 2012 though. McCain has been drawing moderate republicans in the last two elections, many of which switched parties after the conventions.

They should have a clear candidate with 100% GOP support from the beginning in the next election.

I hope it becomes clear who is running two years before the election like Hillary and Obama did this time around.

I thought I'd heard something like 37 out of 51 places were Clinton retreads. The 14 open places hadn't been decided on yet.

Because hopefull they paid attention to what happened to the two bullshit parties that got left behind.

You had a conservative republican candidate. Didn't know what to do with him.

Surely you are not referring to McCain... That would like you trying to pawn your new Messiah off as a moderate democrat.
