Can we get an 'uh/umm' count going for Obama?

Listening to him speak this morning and I keep focusing on the uh, umm, uh, umm...

Perhaps he is viewing the 2.5 million jobs he intends to create as a bit off a drinking game. Everytime he says either uhhh or ummm someone has to hire a new employee. He created 4000 jobs in 15 minutes this morning.

"[T]he people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government and to reform, alter, or totally change the same when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it." --Samuel Adams

Is he president yet? Maybe its me, but the media has forgotten W is still running the show here. All I see are his press conferences. Is it normally like this?

You’ll have to forgive the media. Everyone’s just so swept up in this historic moment – the messiah is going to clear the temple.

Just saw this commercial this morning.

This little piece of idolatry will no doubt resonate strongly with the dim witted losers who think that substantive change in their individual lives can (and should) be affected by the casting of a ballot. I predict that 4 years from now Pampers will still not have health insurance, will still be working more than one job, will still be living in an apartment and will still be a no pussy-getting troll.

I'm pretty sure they've made commemorative plates for all the modern presidents...

And I’m pretty sure that not all President-elects get their own commemorative plate with ‘confident smile and kind eyes’ to memorialize ‘the day the world changed forever’.

They're cirtifying that it is in fact a functional plate, and that crow can be served on it.

He does have a confident smile and kind eyes, and the world did change forever. I fail to see the problem with the plate!

The guy is a douche but c'mon... it's a REAL milestone in American history. Buy a plate (or two!) to commemorate.

So how is ANYTHING changing by him staying the course?

"CHICAGO – The economy growing weaker, President-elect Barack Obama said Tuesday that recovery efforts will trump deficit concerns when he takes office in January. Yet he pledged a "page-by-page, line-by-line" budget review to root out unneeded spending.

The president-elect set no goals for reducing the federal deficit — now in record territory and headed ever higher — an obvious contrast to Monday's announcement that he hopes to create a recession-busting 2.5 million jobs by 2010.

He spoke as he appointed Peter Orszag, currently head of the Congressional Budget Office, to be his own budget director.

Obama's comments came at his second news conference in as many days, an unusual pre-inaugural burst of activity that he said reflected "the extraordinary circumstances" he will inherit on Jan. 20.

With his Electoral College landslide victory, Obama said he possesses a "mandate to move the country in a new direction, and not continue the same old practices that have gotten us into the fix we're

You could count them, but right before you were able to announce the number you would be stricken down for your attempt to make fun of the "Messiah".

If you like the IRS, DMV and the Post Office, you will love Obamacare!

I have to agree with a quote from former Treasury Secretary William E. Simon: "Bad politicians are sent to Washington by good people who don't vote."
