Dow under 8K

Drops to a 5 year low -7997. Big 3 kicks it in the nuts. Although crude is down to $53.63.

Oil jumped about a dollar per barrel because Somali pirates have hijacked a supertanker. $100,000,000 of oil and ship in the hands of some African thugs.

Fuck it. I don't understand why we don't drop a couple Delta teams on board and kill on sight then charge the company for the service.

Although, we can't be bailing them all out...so they do need to be heiring private security.

They did (sorta):

Indian Navy Destroys Pirate 'Mother Ship' in Battle
NEW DELHI — An Indian naval vessel sank a suspected pirate "mother ship" Wednesday in the Gulf of Aden and chased two attack boats into the night, officials said, yet more violence in the lawless seas where brigands are becoming bolder and more violent.

Sheesh man, they just need to do preemptive strikes on what appear to be pirates.

What were you doing in 1997? I was working at Nokia. I had only been there a year.

GM took a hell of a swing today . If you would have bought near the low , you could have doubled your money in a few hours .

If you think about the swing in GM today it makes sense. We have gone from a situation where there may not be a bailout to a situation where it is at least possible.

January 20th at the latest. That's because Obama gave his ass to the unions for the purpose of fucking long ago.

Yahoo is one of many leftist media groups that will not find fault in anything Obama does. Mark my words, they will never find fault in anything he does, and they will print what ever it takes to make him come smelling like a rose.

The ones that believe anything obama does is good for the stock market are not the kind of people who invest in anything or know anything about investing. You don't need to when your financial planning savvy consists entirely of holding out your hand for entitlements

With everything tanking so bad, how is it that electric companies are still raping and increasing prices? Or is this on a totally different playing field?

I was thinking of this myself yesterday, how in the fuck am I still getting charged a huge fuel surcharge even though oil and natural gas are down? As fuel prices shot up companies were quick to add fuel surcharges, but now that fuel prices are low again they decide to keep them in place still? Fishy.

It was the biggest two day gain, or back-to-back as Denny said.
