Interesting survey and study: How Obama got Elected

Media Malpractice...
Seems to highlight the imbalance of reporting on the campaign.

Survey finds most Obama voters remembered negative coverage of McCain/Palin statements but struggled to correctly answer questions about coverage associated with Obama/Biden

These people are not ignorant or dumb they have been mislead by the media.

I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts.

Fucking bullshit. Each one of those worthless sacks of shit have the same access to resources for news and fact that we do.

They're only ignorant because they want to be.

By definition, they are ignorant. Ignorance = lack of knowledge. I believe each person on that video proved repeatedly that they were ignorant of the issues. Their personal stupidity and prejudice allowed it to happen.

And I've pretty well lost faith in 'the American people' et al, as the majority seem to be more than willing to led around by the nose like sheep to slaughter.

The Germans experienced a similar situation in the 1930's when they got their new charismatic leader who was going to bring "change".

That video doesn't show anything that we don't already know. The PR campaign is more important than anything the person has done.

As I have said a hundred times, we'll be testing now lows on the approval ratings scale very shortly. The media is going to turn on him like a pack of wild dogs when they realize they can make a buck from it, just like they did to Bush. And I'll be the first to say that he doesn't deserve it either. The problem here is the media. This election showed that the media can get anyone they want elected. That's a dangerous situation.

I disagree. The media will find excuses for all his fuck-ups, nothing he does wrong will truly be his fault in the eyes of the leftist media.

That doesn't sell papers though. They won't cover for him for long. Especially when the economy doesn't recover and popular opinion starts to turn. Whatever sells the papers is what they'll do.

Naw, CNN and MSNBC will never call a spade a spade. I see them going way out in left field to protect the new Messiah, even if it means less profits. There will ALWAYS be a reason for what ever bad things that happens, it will be Bush, big oil, Republicans, the recession (or depression ), but it will never be his fault. The spin will be dizzying.

They will go out of their way to keep his ratings up.

2 things.

1. McCain made a mistake by not accepting private campaign donations so that he could attempt to get his campaign out to more places.

2. The person who put the movie together could have also used the song American Idiot by Greenday....

"Don't want to be an American idiot.
Don't want a nation that does the new media
And can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mind fuck America.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Where everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.

Well maybe I'm the faggot America.
I'm not a part of a redneck agenda.
Now everybody do the propaganda.
And sing along to the age of paranoia.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Where everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.

Don't want to be an American idiot.
One nation controlled by the media.
Information nation hysteria.
It's calling out to idiot America.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Where everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue. "

The media and people in sales are loving this because they have already been running commercials for Obama commemorative coins, Obama newspapers, Obama .... etc. It's not just about selling newspapers, it's about the merchandise they can sell to each and every black household in the US and Africa. They've got their celebrity and will put him on everything they can think of. Yet, even when a celebrity screws up, it's still on the forefront of the news.

Just wait until these uninformed idiots find out they won't be getting free health care, their mortgages and cars paid for, and things have gotten worse from Obama like I predict they will. It will get very interesting then becuase these are not the kind of people who will just write a letter complaining to their representatives, they will react violently.

It will all happen quickly if the honeymoon for Obama is short.

As funny as it is to sit and watch the Obama supporters squirm in their chair and not know shit about the actual topics, we're all crazy if we think the reporters couldn't find just as many Republicans that couldn't answer a single question about policy.

Do I agree that the media elected Obama, Damn right I do. I'm just saying that the lack of knowledge is rampant throughout the entire country, not just the Democratic party.

You think the average Republican doesn't know that the Dems control Congress, who Pelosi is, and the other simple questions the Obama supporters didn't know? The people I speak with about politics sure know those answers.

I'm sure there are, but the interviewer was also asking questions regarding the backgrounds of the candidates they voted for and they couldn't get that right. Also interesting was how the interviewer showed the distortion of the truth by the media regarding Palin's clothes and comment about Russia. That imo was the most interesting part.

Wow, what a bunch of fools.......I have a co-worker that described the diferance between a libreal and a conservative this way. "A liberal feels things and listens to what the media tells them. A conservative goes and looks it up."

Seems to hold true in my experiance.

Dallas news reports Tony Romo tried to commit suicide last night!

Fortunately he dropped the gun and the bullet was intercepted!
