the media rigging the election

So, is the media declaring an informational war on our electoral process? At one point, it is mccain, then obama and right before the end of the polls out west, the entire thing switches. This is from my brother on a free republic website. I wonder if he isn't onto something....

These declarations of states being decidedly a complete Obama or McCain victory with the popular vote being so close either manifests the entire vote is rigged or their is a coordinated press attack to dissuade western state voters prior to poll closings.

Note how many networks switched their tabulations.

It happened concurrently with less than 16% reporting and less than 3% spreads and the decl

The only thing breaking was the time remaining before western poles were closing. These announcements were made about 45-20 minutes before poll closings. They could have been made in 10 minute increments, and still changed several times before the end of the evening.

The same reporters blatantly announce a count isnít safe unless it is for Obama and until so, the vote isnít out of the woods.

IMHO, an orchestrated political attack using information warfare by controlling the networks has been well manifest in the US tonight.

Can't you see the "giddiness" of the big 3 networks with their coverage? I just want to reach through my TV and smack George Stephonopolis.

I believe Obama to become too drunk on the cult of personality that he has and will be annoited with that he will wish to remian in the positive light of the liberal media no matter what it takes. The media will cover it up his mistakes as they did many of Clinton's and allow the blame to fall on the next Republican president.

Someone on right wing radio made a point the other day that the main stream media would start to crucify him as an attempt to gain their credibility back after showing so much bias during the election... I think it will be interesting to see what happens...

It will be very difficult for that to happen. As was said last night, for the first time since Jimmy Carter, Barry will have the ability to govern "as he sees fit". With majority he has of the house and senate, nothing can stand in his way. Consequently, there will be no one lse to blame...

We know most of the first two years of his administration will be blamed on Bush. He has already laid the groundwork for that type of spin. He claimed that things will take time to get under control and has ventured to claim that it would take at least two terms for all of his promises to be truly realized.

With a 9% approval rating for congress, I don't think voters will be particularly patient, especially if things overseas don't go well.

It doesn't make any difference really. For every person who stayed home only because they thought it didn't matter (regardless of their wishes) there was someone who decided they should go ahead and go vote. Plus those people were less likely to register in time anyhow.

Not only that, but most people either had their mind made up, or they were prevented by law from voting outside their party. PUMAs for instance could write-in someone but there is no McCain on their ballot. Texas is an anomaly in that respect.
