Why? The "Evangelicals" aren't going to have an issue with him being jewish, if that's what you're implying.

Obama's front runners are Chuck Hagel (go figure), Joe Biden and Sam Nunn. He'd be smart to pick someone like Wesley Clark or one of the other Bush critical retired generals but he'll probably end up picking a governor from a powerful state in hopes of getting some more votes.

McCain needs to pick a real conservative if he hopes to win. Lieberman would blow the religious right out of the water, it'd be the stupidest move a candidate has made since Kerry decided to run as a war hero. Romney would be okay but there is still the religious deal and of course his flip flopping. I can't stand Rudi and Fred Thompson is worthless as a campaigner.

Peter Pace, James L. Jones or even Tommy Franks would be great in my opinion but I'd bet he picks Lindsey Graham or Duncan Hunter. I'd also love to see Bill Frist as a running mate.

Remember; nothing ever matters but the campaigns.

A fairly strong military leader with lots of political experience seems like the obvious answer to me. Clark qualifies for the anyone but Bush mentality that Obama supporters seem to ebmrace. He's got a couple of other retired Generals backing him as well but none as significant as Clinton's personal spokesman to the troops. You might remember him as the guy that ordered NATO troops to take Priština International Airport after the Russians had already seized it, possibly starting WW3.
