McCain and Obama are guilty of political pandering. Let's just get that out of the way.
Which of these men do you trust the most to run this country? Which one do you think is really going to best address the two key issues for this election. And that is the cost of energy and the War in Iraq/Homeland Security.
Liberal Democrats have already made it clear that they are not amenable to domestic drilling, which will reduce our dependence on foreign oil and drive down the cost to the end user. They are doing nothing to help address the nations energy concerns, instead are going on vacation. This BS green movement and the radicals who legislate by it make me green in gills. It's nauseating because it's an exaggeration of the truth for political gain. Obama is a hardcore leftist liberal who supports these believes. However, recently (because it is popular and there is public outcry) he is starting to capitulate to some degree on off-shore drilling.
We've all heard the recent campaign rhetoric about his bombastic claims of expunging executive orders. We all know his views on the war and what he plans to do once he takes office. We listened to how he wants to soften interrogation techniques of terrorists. He would be a sheep regarding Iran. He endorses driver licenses and ss# for illegal immigrants. That will intern only serve to enable the behavior and widen the problem. Illegal immigration poses a significant security concern. Our borders are as porous as Obama's plan for "change".
Simple for me. Both issues get an X from me and I move on to the next candidate. I realize that McCain's position on immigration is crap as well. BUT...at the end of the day I'll go with McCain. Lesser of two evils, ya know.
And this is just based on those two issues alone. Not the fact that he is a liar, racists, and a politically pandering greenhorn. Not the fact that he vilified his own grandmother in front of the entire country for the sake of a good sound bite for his black constituency. Sanctimony and lack of class aside, he's a great guy.
That is my two cents.....courtesy of your average run of the mill "typical white person".
