US to send negotiator to meet with Iran

In a break with past Bush administration policy, a top U.S. diplomat will for the first time join colleagues from other world powers at a meeting with Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, The Associated Press has learned.

William Burns, America's third highest-ranking diplomat, will attend talks with the Iranian envoy, Saeed Jalili, in Switzerland on Saturday aimed at persuading Iran to halt activities that could lead to the development of atomic weapons, a senior U.S. official told the AP on Tuesday.

Official contacts between Iran and the United States are extremely rare and although Washington is part of a six-nation effort to get Iran to stop enriching and reprocessing uranium, the administration has shunned contacts with Tehran on the matter.

Yes, savages like the ones who gave Saddam weapons to fight Iran and like the savages propping up a dictatorship next door in Pakistan. Yep, the Iranians are the true savages here
I think it's a step in the right direction, because war with Iran is the last thing anyone wants. It will only help to keep those mullah's in power, and in the long run as the Iranian people become more and more willing to revolt a peaceful solution here will help that come to be.
For some savages, dropping bombs is somehow a rational answer. For some savages, seeing 4000+ dead American soldiers is somehow worth it. Some other savages will sit around and talk smack out of their ass, but never once stand up to do anything about it except whine and complain on an internet forum. Not only are people like Denny savages, but they're fucking pussies as well. I guess Ignorance is truly bliss. Ah well, such is life.

The Iranians have made it more than clear that there will be no diplomatic solutions. They're just trying to buy as much time as they can now. They MIGHT fool some, but certainly not all. What else is there to talk about? Either drop your nuclear program or get a foot up your asss. It's been asked and answered already. Tell me what more is there to say. You think they just want to milk us in negotiations like North Korea? Fuck them. They have means to support themselves better than us.

The best thing the US ever did was assist Iraq in killing Iranians. The Iranians of today are the weakest, dumbest, spineless people on the face of the earth. The only muscle they have was spent on scaring your family to flee to Canada (which isn't saying much). They are nothing more than a stench to the human race. They've more than had their chance to get right with the world. Fuck them...

I'm sure your giggle at the thought of 4000+ dead soldiers. I say we do it right, this time in Iran. From the air with nothing but heavy drops. Our soldiers are too important to waste time in Iran.

Haha I must have really pissed this fag off for him to make 4 back to back responses. What's the matter honey, can't handle someone telling it like it is???? I cant be bothered to read what you've written, but you obviously find it important to read what I write and respond to it with hellish anxiety. I think you're a pussy, and that's the bottom line. I'm sure there's something in there about my family being in Canada, that's all he's got. lol

Translation: Dude, you got me. I have no comeback, other than calling you a pussy while I'm in hiding... in Canada... in a cave... keeping my dad's spineless cock warm. While you're in Iraq (oh, the horror) out there standing up for what you believe in.

Bitch, I'm closer to Iran than you'll EVER be. Fucking cunt.

The Iranians did an excellent job of killing their own without any help from the U.S. in the Iran/Iraq war. Remember their beloved mullahs roping together nine-year-olds, so they wouldn't be able to run away, to clear minefields in those pathetic "human wave" attacks. Top-notch military strategy there....fuckwads hiding behind their children.

I think Bush is doing this to take some of the steam out of Obama's election rhetoric...

It gives the people, who canít think for themselves, the impression that the Republicans are interested in diplomacy.

For that reason, I think its a good idea. Take each one of the Democrats "issues" and counter it... Bush has nothing to lose and the Republican Party has everything to gain.

Cause nothing in this world is more important than an over hyped American presidential campaign. Scott McClellan was right. DC has become a continuous non-stop campaign of tricks. Somebody needs to quit pandering and run the fucking country!!!

What can you do to purge the problem, when your only opition is to vote for a deutsch and a turd sandwhich? Limiting the amount of times you can serve in the senate? That wont ever happen, so I just say vote for Sean88gt.

As long as we're lead around by the nose by the idiot box (TV) and all the shenanigans that entails...nothing.
I already voted for my choice. Ron Paul. He's obviously not the choice of the idiot box people. That they know of anyway....

Seriously, diplomacy? At some point in time, the good ole USofA needs to stop screwing around with all these piece of shit countries, and really wear someones ass out. It's been too long. See 8/6/45

Amen to that. Ron Paul is a champ, I dont care what some folks say about him. Sure, he has vices but I think he'd do a hell of a job running the country.... can't be worse than GWB! I was more in favour of Obama before, but now I see him pandering to the likes of AIPAC and I'm a bit worried. The problem in DC is the power of the lobbyists, take them out of the equation and thing will clean up quick.

Ain't gonna happen, friend. First, you'd have a hell of a time trying to snatch me up. And second, we'd be as good as black folks are during hostage takings.
It's a two headed sword, America had a huge chance at redemption post 9/11 and the gov royally screwed that up. From a completely united Nation, the Bush administration managed to split the country in two. The last thing you guys need is another war, solve the problems at home then start day dreaming about beating up the bad guys. In my opinion, your view should be "fuck em, let them solve their own problems".

I am sure they are going to come to some agreement, probably sell out just a little on the whole nuclear issue, for a large Iranian investment.

If you actually knew even a little about recent U.S. history, you'd know that Iran isn't going to invest squat in a country that's frozen their assets every year since 1979.

The problem with the "fuck em let them solve their own problems" attitude is, it will cause us problems in the future. Possibly to the point of no return. My guess is, and I could be wrong, but Iran isn't going to be just turning on their lights with the power they are trying to aquire. I wouldn't say a full scale war is in question, just for us to help the Isrealis take out their nuclear capabilities, then fuck em let them fix their own problems.

I find it ironic that this guy who wants to talk trash to a soldier who decided to fight for his country, when he just decided to run away from its problems and talk bad about it later. To each his own I guess.

I just cannot listen to anything from a Canadian. Hell you are not even here in American so why do you care what goes on here.

If Obama makes office he will just sell them our nukes so they wont have to make thier own, and then take all of our guns away to make the invasion easier.

I do agree that we should go over and talk. Only once though and it should be make clear, stop or we will stomp this place into the stoneage. Oh and have a nice day.

This was in reference to the simple minded idea of bombing Iran. It is a little more complicated than that. Iranians still blame the US and Britain for the '53 coup. That was 55 years ago!!! I do not trust the Islamic republic, but if Israel can have nukes then so can Iran. I am not in favour of it, I just despise double standards.

I have an idea. But if Denny actually had any security clearance, he'd already know who my father works for. I find it hard to believe someone in the military would be posting on DFW Stangs on a daily basis.

I was talking about the US. Can't say I have any problem with your views on Iran here though.

lol do you really believe that? at the press conference today the US talked about setting up an intersection, that would allow Iranian citizens establish interests in the US. of course the Iranian government would have to grand permission to the US in order for the US to establish an intersection, and for that to happen you have to believe that the US would make some sort of concession to Iran.

IMO the real diplomatic opportunity passed years ago when Mohammad Khatami offered to give into just about every US demand including the recognition of Israel. Some of their demands were not obtainable BUT if we had sat down and negotiated back then we wouldn't be facing the horseshit we have now with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. That guy is a walking talking cluster fuck that might actually WANT to pick a fight with us while our forces are spread thin.

Saeed Jalili, the subject of this thread, is Iran's nuclear negotiator, not an economic policy wonk. Are you blind to that? You have sidestepped the issue of being (apparently) unaware of the U.S. government's continuing freeze on Iranian assets in this country for the past 29-30 years. That is a bargaining chip for sure, but ending that in return for some concession by the Iranian government regarding their nuclear program isn't going to happen, and there will be no flood of Iranian investment in this country as long as that freeze remains in effect.

GTFO with that non sense.

Pussy is the last thing Denny is!! You didn't piss him off for him to respond to you, he was trying to explain to your dumbass what the facts really are.
