Finally an honest analyst

I'm sure he had a target of $200 at some point.

Quote:
Shares of IndyMac Bancorp Inc. plummeted Tuesday morning after the company stopped accepting some loan submissions and trimmed its work force, and an analyst cut his price target to $0.

Yep, was going to drop $2billion on the wind farm out in Pampa.

I saw the letter the CEO of IMB sent out, and have to give him kudos for at least having a pair and letting people know where the layoffs will be.

Here at Countrywide everyone in Ops is shitting bricks because they have no clue where or when they will start cutting them.

Mr. Pickens was brilliant on CSPAN a few weeks ago. He was talking about the viability of deep-water drilling off both coasts and talking about how automatically mature the new wells would be. He was actually pushing for the development of Colorado oil shale over ANWAR.

Give me a dollar.

We need to be getting some of our oil from coal. The United States has the largest coal reserves in the world. We have enough coal to last us 250 years. On top of that you can get a barrel of gas from coal at a cost of $25 a barrel. This isn't some science fiction either. The process has been around since World War II when the Germans developed it and it is being used all around the world. Of course it's not being used in the United States because of the enviromentalist, but when have them bastards ever been for something. They are always against everything.

Funny...he made hundreds of millions in oil, so he's finding a new horse to ride. I wonder if he'll make any money on it?

It will be interesting. The way Texas laws are written water districts have much power. In some circumstances more power than municipal governments to condemn land, etc.

Well his water district consists of five people... including his business manager and his son and his wife.

He is wanting to condemn about 320 miles of land from the panhandle to Dallas.

It is an awesome power play and beautifully executed but I wouldn't expect anything less from T Boone Pickens.

If you have some time you can read this:

I will read it. Honestly, I've always had respect for Pickens, but I know he plays rough. It's just nature of the beast.
