Good read that explained a lot about the world. So will China attack Taiwan some time soon?

I really don't see as big of a problem as they suggest. Sure, our economy will take a hit for a little while during the waiting period for the elderly to die off, but just as soon as that's over it will bounce back with a vengeance. The next generation will be full of super rich individuals who bought up all the property from the elderly moving into condos while they were running their own private specialized business.

If you look at the animal and insect kingdom in the rainforests you will see nothing but specialists that keep one aspect in check from growing too big. This is essentially what will happen with us as well. Hell, it's already started. We are becoming specialists in our jobs just to sustain life. We will get better at it and the world will live on.

^^Damn, not bad for being a shitty Monday. A little more optimistic than I first planned.
The problem being we aren't replacing our population at the moment and relying on immigration to increase the population.

Look at Japan over the past few decades. They're economy is basically in a stand still.

"The culture war is the whole ballgame. If we lose it, there isn't another America to pull us out."

Reagan said something along these lines as well.

Good read.

The next question that came to mind for me was how hard will that swing be and how long until it swings back to the red.

So what is a "mass of independent thinkers" going to do?
