That's a moot point, it's not like people actually have to pay something to get an AOL account of some sorts, hell, there's even a link to create an account. But I forgot, you've got that woman logic...

There are some exceptions to the woman logic rule, so don't go getting all femenazi on me ladies.

It is going to be funny to see who wins this thing, especially given the current position of the polls in the media. I have this strange feeling that McCain is going to do a lot better than what people think.

The Denkins vs. Juliani race for NY mayor in the late 80s had a similar situation to what is about to happen here. Essentially Denkins had a 15 point lead in the polls going up to election day but only managed to win by a few points. That situation demonstrates that some people will say they will vote for a minority candidate when asked just to appear to be unbiased or even pledge to vote for them out of white guilt but when they step into the booth all bets are off.

I think it's better stated as "Obama is going to do a lot worse than people think."

Better known as the "Bradley effect".

Obama had a 10 point lead over Hillary in California in the primary, and she beat him by 2 points.

Considering you can use an AIM account and that's free, I doubt it.

nah. Same with the 7-11 cups. I never vote with those, because I drink the larger size. Apparenly, if you need more coffee, you're undecided.

I hadn't heard it referred to as that.

If California had that sort of swing imagine what some of the other states are going to have.

Going to be real interesting, I bet there will be a lot of lawsuits and belly aching if McCain wins.

It goes back to '82, when Tom Bradley, the black mayor of L.A. decided to run for governor of California. All the polls (even exit polls) showed he had a 10 point lead, but he lost the election by about 10 points, creating a 20 point swing from the polls. There's quite a long history of this, but that election stuck out the most because of the number of democrats it involved. It boils down to folks lying to the pollsters so they don't look like they are rascist.

Apparently, AOL users are predominantly Republican.

That's cool and I hope it is true on game day, but the more conventional polls paint a different story.

Obama is ahead in all regards, unfortunately.
