Flooding in the Midwest

....
JUST WONDERING IF YOU'VE NOTICED ...

.... How the residents of Cedar Rapids, Des Moines and other cities along the Mississippi river in Iowa,Illinois,Wisconsin, Minnesota and Indiana , over 5 million people total,10 times the amount in New Orleans But they have NOT been waiting for FEMA and for George Bush to rescue them from the flood waters. Somehow, they seem to be showing quite a bit of strength and self-reliance. Hmmmmm. Wonder what that's all about. Still no reports of looting! Red Cross Says it has no money to help whitey. No report From FEMA for any help, yet they people say they will rebuild, without crying
Of Course The comparison to New Orleans will never be made in the media, NEVER!!!!!!

The only "bad" picture I've seen is the cops stopping a pickup truck at a road closure. The State Trooper has his gun pulled and another ST is about to break in the passenger side window.

My guess is, some farmer said, "Fuck you, I'm going to see my farm and my house. Get the fuck out of the way."

Yea, I dont' see riots OR people sitting on roofs waiting for someone to rescue them. Odd, no MSM cries for FEMA to step in.

Why don't these people "RIOT for JUSTICE"?

I wonder what the difference is between the people of New Orleans and those of Iowa? Can YOU think of any differences?

There was a thread over on AR15 earlier this year and the basic gist was this:
Girl brings home W2 form from first job.
Mom/Dad don't know what it is
Grandma/Grandpa don't know what it is

I'm glad im on the other side of the state. Tornado's and the floods have fucked some shit up. I think its the small town mentality. People enjoy helping other people around here. Hell if i was to start throwing shingles off the roof to put a new roof on. Every guy on the block would be over shortly to help. I'd do the same for them. I liked the citys for the fact you can find whatever you want with out searching to much. But a simple style of life sure makes thing sweet. Now if i could just get the snow to shovel itself a few states over itd be perfect. Heck we are finally hitting the 80's here in nw iowa. Nothing like the 100 plus i was used to.

What you might call solitude is something i look forward to.

Those cops and firemen braking into those houses really pisses me off. My gf always ask me how come I don't trust cops and the government. I can't beleive how many people just stand on the side lines and watch these assclowns brake every right we have and when you question these fellow citizens they act like it is against the law to question a police officer's authority. Last time I checked these fuckers worked for me.

I'll never forget one night the cops got called out to my street for some suspicious persons. I get a knock on the door and its an officer asking if he could come inside my house and look out over my back fence. I told him in the nicest way not only no but hell no and he can get off my property and if there is a problem I would gladly talk to him out by the street. My neighbors were standing on my front porch in shock and asked, "your not going to let him in your back yard." I then asked in a nice tone that everyone remove their ass from my property at once.

Unlike my pussy neighbors I support the 2nd Amendment and don't rely on the cops to protect me or my family.

TRAIN TRASH it's like WHITE TRASH but with money.

My other vehicle is a Locomotive.

Don't cupple up without protection.

This is really hitting close, here.

The main difference is that there are people who have worked hard to build up and earn what they have vs. people who have the whole, "World owes me a living" mentality. You'll see them go to each other more for help than outside resources, although they'll accept and appreciate any help.

Race isn't the issue either. It's all about how you're brought up and your state of mind.

The difference has been noted by alot of people.

One
Big
Ass
Mistake
America

If you like the IRS, DMV and the Post Office, you will love Obamacare!

“An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.”

I have to agree with a quote from former Treasury Secretary William E. Simon: "Bad politicians are sent to Washington by good people who don't vote."

As far as the video is concerned, maybe they had reason to believe that someone was stuck o\in the house? After all, these guys are probably made up mostly of locals, and it may be that old granny smith had not been seen or heard from in three days, her diabetes medicine was never picked up and her daughter is calling every 5 minutes begging for someone to check on her.

Yeah, authority complex people can go overboard. But I don't see mall ninja swat dorks in baclavas and full body armor busting through the doors here.

Eh, somewhat. You have to admit that race and the attitude of which you speak, do go hand in hand.

Considering my current surroundings, I agree that the stereotype fits, but it's like you said, it all depends on how people are raised.

True. And I'm in no way saying everyone of that race is that way, either. However, stereotypes do exist for a reason, and are all based upon truths to an extent.

You say that like it matters at all. Like the cop has any right at all to be there once the old man tells him to haul his ass.

It is a fine line in these disaster situations and going in people's houses. You have to worry about the elderly and disabled who may not have the ability to answer their door or care for themselves. Small towns have a lot of people like that and the people want to take care of each other. It is a matter of respect more than anything else.

Naggers. And yes it's stupid.

The looting or lack of looting has nothing to do with race. It's socioeconomics.

Iowa Home Owners Angry Over Flood Checkpoints

Police twice caught a man in his flood-damaged home before the property had been cleared by city inspectors. But Rick Blazek vowed to return — even if he had to sneak behind bushes.

“Once I’m in there, I’m not coming out unless they have handcuffs and leg shackles,” he pledged Sunday at a checkpoint where authorities were limiting access.

That’s what happened Monday when officers pulled Blazek out of his pickup after he tried to run a checkpoint. When he allegedly bumped an Iowa state trooper with the truck, police drew their guns, broke a window on his vehicle and wrestled Blazek out. He was charged with assaulting an officer.

Blazek was among thousands of flood victims frustrated by authorities’ decision Monday to cut off access to flood-damaged homes because of safety concerns. About 25,000 people have had to leave their homes since the Cedar River began flooding.

In the year 2000 Louisiana had an estimated population of 4,468,976 which ranked the state 22nd in population. For that year the State of Louisiana had a total Crime Index of 5,422.8 reported incidents per 100,000 people. This ranked the state as having the 4th highest total Crime Index.

In the year 2000 Iowa had an estimated population of 626,932 which ranked the state as having the 48th in population. For that year the State of Iowa had a total Crime Index of 4,249.4 reported incidents per 100,000 people. This ranked the state as having the 22nd highest total Crime Index.

All this comparison of apple to oranges is in pretty bad taste.
