The American Red Cross said on Monday that its Disaster Relief Fund is wiped out and it's being forced to borrow money to help flood victims throughout the Midwest.

I think the govt should fund a $100MM Consulting Committe to figure out why that is.

Strap in and get ready, folks. Gas prices are going to rise even higher. I'm guessing a 20% increase. And buying corn for food? Good luck. I bet you can find it right next to the rice. Oh, wait......

I didn't see 800 flooded schoolbuses, either. There's no "Superdome" up there, so where are all of them living?

Then he had the nerve to try and place blame on federal authorities.

Never mind who am I kinding; his audience was stupid enough to believe it anyway!

I happened to catch the end of some kind of interview with mary landrieu; she is still entirely blaming FEMA for the katrina debacle. And while i'm sure that FEMA was not blameless, neither was the state of louisiana or the city of NO/Nagin.

Actually, we do mailing campaigns for *cough* companies like *coughamericanredcrosscough*

Donations are waaaaaay down compared to years past. Blame anything you want. The dollar is weak and there's fewer of them to spend, doesn't take long to deplete funds that way.

More disasters are happening and Bush's approval rating is lower and lower? Maybe there is some truth behind "Bush made it happen".

I'd rather support The Salvation Army.

Nope. But I do remember my Grandpa telling me how the Red Cross wanted to charge him for coffee and donuts when he was freed from a POW camp.
The Salvation Army took care of him.
