Chrysler Building... sign of the times...

The princes in the middle east should be thanking GM and Chrysler for producing gas guzzlers which filled their pockets enough to purchase the buildings named after them!

The latest Big Apple trophy being coveted by oil-rich sovereign wealth funds is the landmark Chrysler Building.

The deal follows last month's sale of the GM Building and three other Macklowe/Equity Portfolio properties for $3.95 billion to a group of investors including the wealth funds of Kuwait and Qatar and Boston Properties.

That Macklowe guy really screwed the pooch when he bought that junk from equity office. That REIT is a joke. Just goes to show that you don't have to be smart to make millions or billions in the commercial real estate biz. All you need is a swingin dick, some money and be at the right place at the right time.

Let them buy in, then nationalize!

"[T]he people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government and to reform, alter, or totally change the same when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it." --Samuel Adams

That really pisses me off, i see america going to complete shit. American companies having to make their shit overseas that have been here for centuries and icons of america being sold to foreign countries all in a blatant slap in the face of their power over america. Makes me fucking sick.
