Anyone make it to the Obama rally?

I kept hearing the radio adds...reading it in the papers. I was reading his plan for our healthcare system....sounds like he has that wrapped up. The war...he can yank the troops out of Iraq when he gets elected....afterall, he was against the war. The economy, he's going to fix that in his sleep.

This guy sounds like an average Joe just trying to help Americans get ahead!

If all the candidates were black, how would the black people know who to vote for?

Thing is Obama stepped up. Will I vote for him? Probably not. The only reason I would vote for him is to laugh a little when everyone goes, "Oh shit!"

I don't think America is ready for a black president (even if it is 50/50 black.) Hell, it took Obama to get the first black in the Senate.

I have been having fun reading all the "I'm not racist but..." stuff that is flying around (no, not just here.) I also like to see the black people I know get motivated about politics. I'm not talking the run of the mill thug types but professionals with families living in white suburban North Texas.

Now, we do have the "you can take the black out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of the black" type living here as well. One with an E55, Navigator and F250 Turbo Diesel that "bump it" down the road. But for the most part, they are highly successful black families living out the dream just like you and I.

As a matter of fact as I was typing this my wife was putting something in the mailbox and was talking about the loud gansta rap on the street. Oh wait, that was coming from the garage of our white neighbors two houses down (their daughter is 19, so I give her a break).
