My fellow Republicans... Vote Hillary

The primaries are heading to Texas. The Republican ticket is pretty much settled but the Democratic ticket is still wide open because of their super delegates.

So what are we Republicans to do?

IMO, we should vote for Hillary.

McCain has it wrapped up, voting for him or for Huck is pretty much a waste of time. I'm not a fan of McCain by any stretch but there is no doubt in my mind that Obama has a MUCH better chance of winning the general election than Billary does. A vote for Billary in the Texas primary is a vote for McCain in the general election.

For me, this election is about minimizing damage. McCain will do less damage to this country than Billary will and Billary will do less damage than Obama. Mark my words, if Obama wins the nomination he will be the next President.

McCain will slaughter Obama in the debates. That and if you look at Obama's support base it's typically younger college age people and minorities, groups that tend to not show up on election day.

I think McCain has his best shot at winning against Hillary if Obama wins the Democrats will win.

Have you been paying attention? They HAVE been showing up through the entire primary cycle. It isn't smart to assume they won't do it a 2nd time for their candidate. He has Rock Star type appeal to younger voters. Hell even I actually like the guy a lot, I just don't like his politics. Rush Limbaugh has even said he really likes the guy.

Discounting the college age vote is a path th defeat. Never NEVER underestimate your enemy.

I plan on voting for Obama. I usuall vote republican in the general election.

He has two things going against him being president. He is black. There are many old democrat people that will not vote for a black man. Race may not be a factor for my generation or younger people, but for many people over 60 years old, they still habor those feelings.

He will loose many Christian votes. Many people think he is a muslim or knows that his father was a muslim. A person in my government class said they would never vote for a muslim.

Obama is not a Muslim, and most folks know that. His blackness, however, presents a problem, and not just with whites. I don't think most Hispanics will vote for a black OR a woman.
We went through 4 years of Jimmy Carter...we'll make it for 4 years with Obama or Hillary. Do I like it? No. Will I respect the office of the President, even if my guy doesn't win? You betcha. That's more than a lot of people on this board will do, judging by the lack of respect they constantly show. A few folks on here don't really give a shit about our nation, but how bad they can make our leadership look.

Most people believe the Muslim thing is bullshit.

As for white people voting for him, look at whats happening in the primaries. Obama is WINNING the White Male Vote. As I stated in another thread, he won the White Male Vote in ALABAMA. Color is not going to be the issue you think it might be for him. The Clintons tried to make race an issue and it blew up in their face.

As I stated earlier, don't underestimate the enemy or we will lose. Obama is the real deal. He is the Democratic Ronald Reagan. He can talk socialism without sounding like a total nut job. He is an effective communicator and people simply like him. Hell, I'm surprised they aren't throwing panties at him during tonights debate.

I said people believe it. Not that I do. Funny thing that no one out of 26 people in my US government said anything about the muslim statement being wrong, not even the instructor. I know it was not correct, but who was I to distrupt a perfectly good false rumor.

I didn't say whites wouldn't vote for him, I said Hispanics are not likely too. I DO think it will be tough for McCain to beat him. I'm watching the debate right now, and I'm not impressed with him at all. He does stammer quite a bit when speaking off-the-cuff about tough issues. Hillary looks/sounds pretty smooth, IMHO. They are both spending WAY too much time bashing the Prez, when you consider he's not running...

Not no but hell no. I will not be casting a vote for Carolyn Sinclair's lesbian lover. I would gladly take Obama over her.

Give me a dollar.

A record number of people stood in line for hours just to hear him speak at Reunion. I think he is going to steam roll his way to the White House. And I really hope that my assumption is wrong.

I'm in awe at the resounding support he is getting from everyone along the food chain. And considering how superficial this country is, which was made evident by American Idol beating Super Tuesday in ratings, I think we are in bad shape. For those of us that don't want to see a hard core liberal in office, I think we are all getting tossed under the bus on this deal.

I was reading a political editorial the other day, about how charisma and personality is a greater asset in the presidential race than tenure and knowledge of the issues.

This whole thing is rapidly becoming absurd.

You mean these people.

A sea of black people. Black people in the US is still 17% of the population. I bet racist whites are more than 17%.

Black folks only 17% of the US population?

Where did that stat come from?

Here's the way I see things... Right now, we've got two chances to beat Clinton, one in the primarys and one in the general election...

I'm not 100% sure McCain can prevail in the general election against either democratic candidate... and even though he's a lefty... I'd much rather have Barrack in office rather than that fat ankled C*nt he's running against.

My vote in the primary was not for Barrack, but rather a vote against Clinton. My vote in the general election will be for who ever the Republican candidate is at the time.

By the usage of "these people" and talking about racist whites I'm inclined to think you're a part of that 17%...

Hmmm..I dunno how I feel about the Hitlery vs Obama side...On one hand I think Hitlery could potentially be easier to defeat but honestly I think Obama wont be able to keep everyone charged by saying "Change" in response to every debate he gets into with McCain later down the road. I think Obama has rode the charisma train and had a pretty easy campaign so far and that wont be the case in the next few months where the tough side of Campaigning comes out...and honestly I dont think he'll fare too well. Getting people riled up at a Rally and getting people riled up watching a Debate are two different things, I think when the tougher questions/issues are brought up he's going to freeze up and McCain will calmly beat him down...where as Hitlery could probably hold her own better. It's going to be a fight either way McCain vs Hitler or McCain vs Obama...personally I dont want to play the "whose easier" to beat strategy and go throwing primary votes to the Dems as I dont think its a viable strategy. Call me cocky but I do think the Republicans will come together and even some independents to pull through (albeit narrowly) against either Hillary/Obama. I dont think this country is ready for the first woman president (maybe if it was someone else) and Obama could be the first black president but I dont think he'll maintain the hype he has now through November. I hope I'm right, but only time will tell.

Also..im not really sure Hillary would be better then Obama as president...I think Hillary is far more selfish and would be more opinionated in decision making then Obama, and I think either of them will Fuck our economy up so its a lose lose situation. I think Obama would atleast listen to Congress/Senate more on issues vs Hitlery who would be only concerned with herself

Hopefully Obama will take Hillary on a car ride and they'll meet a train head on.

I have utmost respect for the Presidency but a complete lack of trust or respect for any of the candidates this go around.

Either way the democrat primary turns out, we're playing with dynamite and the whole thing could very likely blow up in our face.

It seems that we're depending on republicans coming together in the fall to vote against who ever the dems put up... but I suspect there's gonna' be a BUNCH of dems voting this time... in which case, a less than stellar republican turnout almost guarantees a win for th opposition.

and the best candidate the GOP can muster up is McCain , Bob Dole with white hair?

man, we're screwed...

Think about this; if big O wins texas and still doesn't get the nomination, the fallout will be massive.

This put tricky dick over the top.

This is one of the few time Texas actually matters. Don't waste it. You know plenty of registered democrats will be voting for Huckaby. This is a chance to make a mockery of the stupidity that is the delegate system.

We need a system of gladiatorial combat. Starting about 4 years before the general election.

Those two statements are profound, to say the least.

That's been my biggest problem with liberals over the past 4 years; apparently they have nothing better to do but bash Bush. Sure, it's great that you hate him, but honestly, do you not have anything else you could be doing with your time, like being a productive member of society?

And that second statement about the folks on here couldn't be more spot on. I really think it just stems from a resentment of their own inability to do well in life, so they (naturally) begin blaming the people who lead them for their own failures.
