It's the stupidist thing I've seen come out of California so far today.

You think they'll mind help from the Coast Guard and National Guard during the next earthquake?

Fucking homos, I'm glad the 49rs are moving.

“One of the big components (of JROTC) is military branding, military thinking and military recruitment, and that has to stop,” board member Dan Kelly said during the meeting.
Here is the real reason they are doing this. It has nothing to do with the gay ban thing. It has everything to do with liberals wanting to do away with the military.

I'm actually surprised JROTC has lasted in HS as long as it has.

Bullshit, Merle Haggard can kill at least 2 million Chinamen singlehandedly. All he needs is a bottle of Old Grandad...

I was just thinking the casinos would hold them off until they ran out of money (obviously the Koreans would be gone first).

I was pretty pissed when I first read that, but was unsure what I wanted to say about it or how I wanted to react. I never wanted to be in JROTC in high school, and never was, but there were tons of people who did want to be and couldn't because our high school (the biggest high school people wise in the state of Arizona) didn't offer it.

You know, she made a staement about why she had chosen Murtha as the Majority Leader, and it was because she,"thought he was the best way for us to get out of Iraq"(basically "cut and run"). What kind of speaker would nominate a majority leader based on ONE position on ONE issue?? If that doesn't show how far left she is,I don't know what is. Might aswell have Michael Moore or Howard Dean as Speaker of the House.

Man,these next two years are going to be rough as hell. I hope the Republicans appreciate the power they had,and lost.

I'm trying to look at the positive side. The people now in power may serve as a great stimulous to the voters to effect another change in 2 years depending on what they do.

When I vote, I vote for who I feel can get the job (what ever that may be) done the best and most effeciently. However, with this year's elections I voted Republican across the board just because of people like Pelosi and Murtha running for office as Democrats. I really hope the Republicans are wrong as far as what their expectations of the Democratic Congress are. I really hope that they can do something to prove me wrong because if they go the route that my gut tells me to we will be up shit RIVER without a boat or a paddle. It will be like floating in an ocean of shit...naked maybe.

They voted last week and Murtha lost... They elected Steny Hoyer as majority leader...

He may be a former Marine but Murtha is a scumbag... do a little research and look at his background... How do people keep voting these people back into office...

Another reason for term limits...

Yeah,I thought about that, but then if Republicans fail, then Democrats fail,in two years, there's a chance that no one will vote.

Yeah,I think that most informed voters who know when to put party lines aside knew that if the Democrats won,it wouldn't be good, not because they're Democrats, but because they hate Bush so much that they subconsciously find reasons to criticize anything the President and the Republicans take a stand on no matter how logical it is. That's evident by the fact that they criticized everything Republicans/Bush did,but never offered up their own plan for ANYTHING.

I hope I'm wrong too, because I want us as a country to suceed, but the fact that for the last few years they have been making judgments based on emotions(and that never works well).

You know, the Democrats were calling Murtha "courageous" because he "turned down" the money in the ABSCAM tapes, but from what I saw,he didn't turn down shit! He said,"Maybe later". He also said in the tape that the reason he was going to turn down the deal was because it might come back to haunt him in the future, meaning that he would've gone through with it if he felt that he could've gotten away with it. I mean, you turn down the deal because "it's the right thing to do",not because "you don't want it coming back to you"

When the next great quake hits and Weirdifornia slides off into the Pacific...........I'm throwing one HELL of a party. The whole damned state will bring ruination on the rest of this country. It is littered with pissants, pussies, and perverts.
