DC Snipers Claim four shootings in Denton

http://www.nbc5i.com/news/9381918/de...s=dfw&psp=news
Quote:
FORT WORTH, Texas -- One of the Washington, D.C., snipers is reportedly claiming responsibility for a deadly shooting in Denton County.

The Washington Post quotes sources as saying Lee Boyd Malvo told law enforcement officials that he and fellow sniper John Allen Muhammad are responsible for four shootings across the country not publically attributed to them.

Malvo said he and Muhammed shot landscaper Billy Gene Dillon on Memorial Day in 2002.

Officials with the Denton County Sheriff's Department said they thought it was a random shooting.

Why are they still calling these to snipers instead of terrorists?

Because they were not prosecuted in Texas.

If they were prosecuted here originally, they'd be dead. That teenage kid is not serving life in prison because of the Supreme Courts recent rulling that you have to have committed the crime at the age of 18 or older to be put to death. If that kid had been prosecuted in Texas, he wouldn't have lived long enough to enjoy that ruling...

Off 360? I remember a tanker truck exploding about 4 years ago, never really found out any info on it though.

Are yall talking about at the Chevron close to Green Oaks and 360? I was driving down 360 when that happened. They never figured out what happened?

It was off 360 & 183, on Dickey drive. It was strange the way they were reporting it, because at first something allegedly caused the trailer to explode and the driver barely escaped while trying to get the tractor disconnected, and later it was already disconnected and the driver was just too close and got hurt. There was a blurb that possibly shots had been fired at the truck, then it disappeared.

Why would anyone park a trailer full of gasoline on dickey drive, which is residential and not an HV route (and not a great shortcut from anywhere to anywhere)?

I don't think they are worthy of the "sniper" title, but they do qualify as a terrorist. However, I they could be talked about in the past tense and dead.

Take care,
