Where do muslim leaders stand?

Salman Rushdie had a fatwa (murder sentance) placed on him by islamic clerics for defaming islam.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salman_Rushdie

Theo van Gogh had a fatwa placed on him and killed, for making a movie that defamed islam.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theo_va...lm_director%29

These "extremist" are going around bombing places in the name of allah, but muslim people claim that these terrorist are not true muslims. Well, aren't they defaming islam? Why don't they issue a fatwa on OBL or any member of al qaeda? Does killing people wrongly in the name allah rise to the level of defamation seen in writing a book or directing a movie? Where is the calls for their heads, like when someone stepped on a quarn?

LMAO! The clerics, the entire Islamic organization of Spain issue a fatwa and you are bored by it.

So, where is the argument all muslims want death to westerners. It just flew out the window.

I'm not seeing too too many demonstration by Christians in Washington DC screaming and yelling at Bush to get his shit together and capture Usama to appease the westerners.

Here are some folks who don't condone the acts of their own people.

That is nice to hear, but when I got to the parts that states.

Quote:
The unjust killing of a human being in Islam is forbidden. Allah said:

{And kill not anyone whom Allah has forbidden except for a just cause.}
I am sure they mean people like Rushdie and van Gogh, are a just cause.

Where is the out rage and riots in the muslim world about how people are defaming islam? Where is the calls for the people to be turned over, like the toilet quran case?

Where on this web page did it call on the muslim community to do anything to help stop the terrorist? No where does it say that, it was only meant to assuage non-muslims. It only claims, "we are this, we are that", no action what so ever.

You are reaching big time.

First, the Rushdie fatwa was issued by the Ayatollan of Iran. It wasn't issued by countless others. You are trying to make it seem like the millions of Muslims out there are looking out for Rushdie.

Who exactly issued a fatwa against Theo Van Gogh?

No, I am not.

I want to know, why would people protest and riot around the world because of a quran in the lew, and why the silent over London bombing? Is a quran more important than 50 people dead people?

Bro, I'm with you. I do wonder why there isn't marching in the streets of London? How can they just let this act go without a voice of anger, hurt, or even bewilderment?! Where are the Pakastani's comments on this? I don't know. But this statement should help:

But the traditional Muslim view is, unfortunately, alive and well; it was firmly restated several years ago by Pakistan’s Federal Sharia Court: “The penalty for contempt of the Holy Prophet …is death and nothing else.” (Source at bottom of page)

Until upper governments over there get rid of their old, tired, stuck-in-the-muck, old men. Then the younger radical muslims will continue to just up and blow people up.

I'm not an old S.O.B (I'm 25) I just call it like I see it. Thats the way I see it. The Muslims over there don't give a sh** about what our Muslim leaders saying here in the free world. Muslim is a backward religion. They say one thing but do the opposite. Hell, TexasDevilDog, your sig even speaks the truth. Muhamed(I know misspell) was a pedophile!

Responses to the London bombings.

Quote:
The explosions ... were barbaric acts by the terrorists," Sheikh Jalal Al-Deen Al-Saghir said at the Shiite Muslim Baratha mosque in Baghdad. "I feel sorry for what happened and call on all countries in the world to agree upon one policy toward terrorism."
Quote:
"Such acts will only tarnish the image of Islam and enlarge the gap between the Muslim world and the West," said Bal Mohamad El Bechir, the imam of the El Mina mosque in Noutakchoot, Mauritania.
Quote:
Jordan's King Abdullah II expressed his nation's "solidarity with the British people."

"Everyone must close ranks and unite efforts to fight all forms of terrorism, the forces that support it and those who stand behind it," he said.
Quote:
"This has nothing to do with Islam," Ali Lela, imam at the American Moslem Society in Dearborn, Mich., said. "The first people to suffer, after the victims, are the Muslim community."
Quote:
Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa called the attacks "tragic and awful."
Quote:
"Attributing to Islam acts of individual or collective killings, bombings, destruction of properties and the terrorizing of peaceable people is unfair, because they are alien to the religion," said Sheikh, who heads the Council of Senior Ulema, Saudi Arabia's highest religious authority.

Because I didn't put "fatwa" with quotes, it makes it just fine. I never said it was issued by a cleric. You are a great apologist.

A fatwa is a legal pronouncement issued by an Islamic cleric.

Here is what a "Baptist" church thinks of the London Bombings. I guess I should think this is how all Christians feel.

Some of those people on that site look like they have fetal alcohol syndrome or downs syndrome.

Honestly though, I don't see why anyone would hate cigarettes so much.

Gonna start a new website www.godhatesgodhatesfags.com, it's a bit confusing but read it again. It's gonna be sweet and I'll bet that Billy Graham will be on board.
