Suspended for 10 days? wtf is this? i think the decision was a lil harsh and b.s if you ask me. Of course im sure it was the teacher's word against his word on how he reacted. Hell i got in many school fights and only got suspended for 3 days that seems too be worse than his back talk to the teacher...gay

Hey it's school policy. He knew the risk. Is 10 day suspension too much for use of a cell phone? Yes. Is it too much for a kid who talks back at a teacher and refuses to cooperate? No.

Do I agree with this? Hell no.

my question is....what if it was going to be the last time he talked to her? say she was about to do a mission that involved her risking her life? i can understand where the school would get upset about arguing with a teacher or whatever, but then again it's his mother. in IRAQ.

Kid could have probably handled the situation better.

10 days seems a bit much for a phone call though (any phone call).
Is there not D-hall anymore?

The kid lost my sympathy when it was reported that he has been in trouble for using profanity in the past and during this incident. His discipline was not for talking on the phone as much as it was for using profanity to the teacher who told him to get off the phone and the teachers in the office.

I hate the way things get twisted around.
