Add Network printer through logon script
my company just moved a step into time, and got a network printer. I'm getting sick of adding this printer to each diffrent computer that someone uses... so im trying to add it into their logon script, but it does not seem to be doing what it is supposed too.,
Network: Windows 2k Server, w/ 16 WinXp clients.
the logong script maps a couple of drives, nothing difficult.
trying to add the printer like this:
net use \\server\printer
and i have tried:
net print \\server\printer
this gives printer information but does not connect to the printer to make it useable? anyone know how to connect a printer through a logon script? I know it cannot be too difficult...
