Windows XP?

I was wondering, I have Windows 98 Second Addition now, and if i get Windows XP will all of my songs and all of my files and Everything on aol get deleted that I have saved on my harddrive? Thanks for the help

Not if you do it right. What I recommend you do is buy another hard drive ( they're pretty inexpensive righ now ) load XP on that drive, then use XP's "File Transfer Wizard" ( or something like that ) to transfer your data from your old hard drive to your new one. BTW, it Second Eddition, not Addition.

I'm a broke azz white boy, I'm just scared if i load it i won't have everything that I need.

If you have a CD burner, just back everything up before you switch operating systems.

Well you can't upgrade from Win98 SE to WinXP, so the only way to save your data is to back it up to CD's, or some other medium.

Yes you can, it states on the box that you can upgrade from Win98, Win98 SE, and Win ME. I upgraded from Win98 SE myself with no problems and did not loose any of my important files or documents.

But I will also add that it is ALWAYS a good idea to backup your files before doing any kind of upgrade.
