Question WinXP Pro Website help

I am creating an adult website. I am needing someone to assist me in making a login script for the site. I have tried all the websites that i could find about making one but all i could find was cheesy looking ones. I want one that you would see on a professional site. One that you would see in windows. Not the simple - enter user name, enter password, submit, Cancel. If you can help please post. I have put to many hours on this site to stop at this. Thanks in advance. Dave

Are you going to have multiple users and passwords or just one username and password for everyone? Are you going to be hosting the site or having another company do it?

If you have a small amount of users or just one login and password, you can set that up on your IIS server. If you are going to have a lot of users and passwords, you will probably need a database on the backend with ASP or CGI scripts.

I will probably try to setup 10 - 20 UN's and PW's. I will be hosting it myself. Do you know how to set that up in iis xppro?? Thanks for the help. Dave

Check out this site for directions. Basic Authenication and Basic/SSL are probably the easiest. It is pretty simple:

Be ready to get shut down pretty quick, unless you are hosting your site with a company that allows adult material. Most do not because their upstream data circuit providers don't allow it.

I have recently researched many colocation facilities and most wont let you run porn sites. Not that I wanted to, but its in their contracts. The only one that I knew that did in the dallas area is now out of business. I am sure there are ones that do but you pay a premium for it.

Adult material is very bandwidth intensive, if it becomes popular, you better have a big fat internet pipe to back it up.
