deleting windows?

OK. I'm on a dual boot PC. Boot 1 is Windows ME. Boot 2 is Win.2K. ME is on my C drive, and 2K is on my D drive. Now how do I delete windows off of my C drive ( safely ) and just have it Boot as 2K only. I don't have any type of software for this, I just don't know if there's a manual way to do this. thanks in advance,
kenny

If you want to just leave 2k on the D drive, and have it boot that way ... you can remove the "Windows" or "Windows ME" entry from your boot.ini file (should be located at the root of the c drive). Then from within 2k, you can delete the Windows and Program Files folders off the c drive. Just keep the command.com, io.sys, and msdos.sys on the root of the c drive, and you should be ok ... even though 2k doesn't use them for the boot loader ... it's just best to not delete any of the files on the root, unless you know for sure 2k doesn't use them.

Now, if you're wanting 2k on the c drive as the sole OS ... you're going to be in for a format/install.
