Arrow HELP! Display has a pink tint to it.

My computer is only 2 months old and when I first got it the only moniter I had was a pos. The screen always had a pink tint to it and I figured that the moniter was the problem. I finnally went today and got a 15 in. LCD moniter, hooked it up and I still have a pink tint. I've already checked the settings and they look to be ok. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Do you think it could possiblly be the video card? Please give me any suggestions you have.

Thanks,

Beau

The only time I have seen this it was because one of the pins on the monitor cable was bent and not making contact when pluged into the video card. Since you have bought a new monitor and still have the problem my best guess is that there may be a bad connection on the video card itself.

Well hmmm. I pulled the case apart and the video card is built on the motherboard. It does have 2 extra ports that look like I could put an A/M video card in. I think I'm gonna try that tommorow and see if it fixes the problem. If not then I have absolutely no clue.

NO NO NO NO NO!!

He means the pins on the end of the monitor cable, not the video card to the mother board lol!

Yeah, it sounds like it's dropping some or all of the green channel. Since it's different monitors / cables, I'm betting it's the card at fault as well. Since it's onboard, all you can do is get another card to try out.

Fixed!!!! The green was turned all the way down. I'm new to all this computer stuff. This is my first one and I've only had it 2 mos.

That's odd that the green would be turned down on both monitors though
