AVI format movies.

What do you use to play them? I'm downloading Indeo XP avi codec pack right now. What else works?

Also do a search for Nimo Codec pack, it includes the basic divx codecs along with a few more not used as often. After installing the codec pack I've been able to watch 95% of the stuff I've downloaded ( even stuff that didn't work before ).

I'm having a hard time to viewing an AVI on my laptop that plays fine on my desktop. I'm running the same DivX file on both computers but the desktop is running the older MS MP that comes with XP and my laptop is running the new 9 version and I can't figure out how to uninstall

Go to Google and search Nimo Codec and it'll find other people that are currently hosting the files even though his main site is down. Here's one I found: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/nimo/Nimo50Build7.exe

Hey Jose, do you have the Nimo codec pack installed? If not, uninstall the divx codec you currently have, and install the codec pack, I had similar problems between my desktop and my laptop, and reinstalling the nimo codec pack fixed it. For some reason when I updated to MP Series 9 it copied over some of the codec files. Give that a shot and let me know if it works.

I'll give that a shot tonight when I get home Kenny. Anybody have an idea how big the file is?

The file is about 8.5 MB, do a complete install but uncheck the options for the G400 Filter if you do not have G400 graphics card and do not install the Bicubic Resizer Filter if you do not have any problems with the video being upside-down.
