It really depends on what you want from a video card and how much you are willing to spend. Check out Fry's website www.outpost.com
and do a search for wideo cards. I would recommend a geforce4 card. I am sure I can find one for under $100.
They are not difficult to put in, just find an empty slot, stick it in, plug your monitor into it and reboot. Make sure you take out your old one unless it is intergrated into the motherboard. Windows should find it and load the new drivers for you. You will also more then likely get instructions for this with the card.
