Samsung Captivate comes in tomorrow, where do I start

Just ordered a Samsung Captivate (AT&T's Galaxy S phone for those who are not aware) and was wondering where a good starting point would be for learning the advantages of the android OS and good tools/utilities to use.

This will be my first android handset, and I've been reading alot about it, but right now I am a litte overwhelmed with all the information and was wondering if anyone had a good comprehensive guide.

Androidforums.com is a good resource. Lots of quality posters over there. I haven't unlocked the full potential of any of my phones I've had, but I'm not overly concerned with it, either.

Remember that Android phones are notorius for being teh suck in the battery department. One of the first apps I'd download is a task killer. You can thank me later.

Froyo kills my battery a little faster. Get ATK free, and Batteryfu first off. Batteryfu turns off the data connections when the phone is asleep to save battery life.

Like Kyle said, check out xda, there's a captivate sub-forum. And the GPS still sucks on the phones, still waiting on Samsung to release a fix for it.

They have stuff for the Epic, Fascinate, etc... a lot of it applies to the Captivate as well. It's a good starting point IMO as well.
