Who here on the forums goes to LAN parties? There will be some in November just wanted to know if anyone wants to get together and play some Starcraft 2 or Bad Company 2 and own it up at a LAN.

...but...but...it can't be near a Sonic. I don't want the people at the Sonic meets beating us up.

I could be game for something like this, if the stars in my life are aligned corrects so I can make it.

Don't even see why you would need a LAN party anymore, with all of the Roger Wilco spawns and high speed connections.

Be careful about letting people know where it is, they might come take your lunch money.

There's something to be said though, for face to face interaction. Mountain Dews. And greasy pizza.

And the smak talk...oh...the smak talk.

I used to go to the DFWLanParty.org lan parties, but those just sucked. All they ever wanted to do was play Counter-Strike.

I host small lan parties at my house for Grand Theft Auto 4 (amazingly fun with just a room full of guys) and Battlefield Bad Company 2. If you guys ever start one up for BFBC2, let me know. I don't do SC2...

I like threads like this.

They allow me to keep tabs on the nerds.

Carry on, Magic The Gathering people.

Some of us here at work want to start up a small LAN party..we just mainly going to play TMNations, BF2, and SC2. We thought about hosting them at work, but getting our equipment in/out of the building is a hassle because of where we have to park (across the street-downtown dallas). We did a LAN party for my bachlor party...best fun I have had in a long time.

I am down.

I have a 2400sqft house that I live alone in but I live in rockwall. Willing to host.

I only have the DSL elite package. Everything in my house is gigabit tho. 3tb raid5 file server as well.

We could do black ops party as well. I took 3 days off of work to play.
