I have an iPhone 4 and actually like the death grip feature. It gives me a good excuse to just hang up on people when I get sick of talking to them. I just bought an iPhone to get internet anywhere I want.
No, of course not.
People are going into Apple stores and demo-ing products and discovering flaws there. Of course no one uses it once they pay for it. THey just show it off as a shiny new toy to impress friends.
Seriously, there are several bloggers/electronics websites/etc etc that have stated, and made youtube video of the problems.
what I don't get is this, in the lab did they just ignore the issues altogether and say to themselves "ahh it won't be an issue in the field".
I've seen two iphone4 out of the few of my friends who have them who can easily replicate this issue.
i'm seeing people pass the buck saying its att's network, rather the iphone dropping the calls. /sigh.
i'll get an iphone once the 4gs comes out (because you know it will come out eventually).
"They're apple customers. The only thing we need to do is put an apple logo on it and they'll buy it.
If it occasional makes a phone call, we can call it a phone and they'll buy that too."
Dude this month alone, i've had my 3gs replaced twice. I don't treat my phones like shit, but I don't really "baby" them either. My original iphone was having some issues between the sim and the phone. The phone I was given had trouble simply making a call and all radios were being reset when hitting "call," my third works like a champ but reception is up and down.
edit: to bcoop, for the most part this is what uses have been complaining about; camera discoloration, i've seen quite a few on other forums that have pink hue in all pictures, its not quite as scratch proof as thought before launch, some people have reported switched volume buttons (up is down/down is up), and of course the death grip/reception problems. and to add, the bullshit about the signal strength display.
