That all depends on what's affecting it. Most malware today is written to try and block removal tools.
If you'd like, I can help you via remote connection, to try and clean your pc. One of the advantages of doing it this way is that I can directly transfer the needed "tools" to your pc w/out the hassle of potential redirects and blocked downloads.
Turn computer off, when the first screen comes up press F8 over and over till it brings you to a boot screen. Select F8 with networking. Download the the program from the link below (free). Once you finish removing the viruses you can restart normally.
So I've heard.....but as much as I have tried I haven't experienced it yet. I'm sure one day it will happen to me and then I'll be pissed. SO FAR I have been pretty pleased with the 30 second boot up time, the 6+ hour battery times, and generally the entire lack of problems and issues that I've had using Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP, Vista, and 7. I'm not saying Mac OS X is perfect..its quite a change from Windows...but I've been pretty happy with it to this point.
