PS3 connectivity issues..........

I keep getting a "An error has occurred. you have been signed out of playstation network (8001050f)" error. Turns out, this is happening world wide at the moment (started at roughly 6pm).

These are the demands and sayings of Duncan.

If you want to keep up with it:
http://twitter.com/SonyPlaystation

It was fine this morning when I was playing BF1943. I shut it off and came back to play again and it was giving that same error. All the googling I found at first related the error code to the PS3 crashing and needing to be sent in for service. Finally found an article with the Sony Twit link and was glad to see that they were actually acknowledging the problem. I'm kinda shocked that the PS3 site doesn't seem to mention it, as that was one of the first places I looked.

What really sucks is the BFBC2 release tomorrow and the game most likely won't load because of this shit!

It is connecting to the web because I changed my password yesterday(thinking it may have been related) and it acknowledges a bad password if entered, but when the correct PW is entered it errors out.

Back up and running - per Sony it was an issues of the PS3 clock thinking that was a leap year, and it tried to adjust but couldn't match network time.

I'm glad it has been fixed. I didn't even tried to turn my PS3 on during this period. I got the Phat PS3 160gb model, I heard some of them didn't get affected by this issue.

I'll be playing MW2 if anyone wants to add me PSN ID is in my sig.
