office nerdom!!!

I needed a better place to put my docking station and laptop for my desk at work, so i hit up the container store, and came up with a custom solution

6 - Shoe Drawers
1 - Elfa 30x20 inch shelf
1 - old C series dell monitor stand
lots of velcro tape

There's a half height cubical wall behind the shelf, but I'm in an office, with two cubes. So there's about 4-5 inches of dead space behind the cubicle wall. I velcro'd all the drawers together, so they didn't wobble, then velcro'd them to the desk surface. I then velcro'd the shelf on top. Inserted the old monitor stand to make a shelf, velcro'd a surge protector to the under side of the shelf, and then velcro'd a 4 port USB hub to the left hand side of the drawers.

I've got a ton more storage space, as well as desk space now.

In all it cost me about 80 bucks in parts.

uhhhhhhh baller?

I saw container store and knew it was gonna be pricey. So why not put the docking station on the actual desk?

It takes up all of the space on the desk, came almost to the edge, and it would have cost about the same to get extension cables for everything to move it to the far end of the desk.

Also because of the design of this cubicle, and the dual monitor setup, I can't put it under the monitors.

Elvis, you know I love the jesus!!! those are almond slivers, and Macadamia nuts.
