Xbox 360 Wireless Adapters?

I'm needing to pick up a wireless adapter for my 360 since its not close to a router anymore. Anyone have experience with the G and the N and did you notice any difference? or even the off brand ones? Im just not prepared to drop $100 on a wireless card for my 360, I'd rather get a 40ft long CAT5 cable

I have the wireless adapter with a N router. No lag at all, it actually picks up more matches for some reason than it did when it was hard wired.

"And Shepherds we shall be
For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand
Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti."

You might be able to pick a used adapter on craigslist pretty cheap.

Just my opinion, but if I were you I'd go ahead and hard wire it.

There really is no way to. The router is 3 rooms down from the Xbox and the Xbox is on an outside wall. Cant fish thru the insulation

So fish through the closest inside wall and run it along the wall. The first wireless adapter i used sucked immensely. It would drop packets all over the place, but it was probably just my router causing that. If you haven't bought one or run a cable yet I have one I don't use anymore. If you're interested I can find it wherever it is and you can have it for $20. I'd have to mail it to you from Chicago, but I can do it to help you out.

I've got a Pelican brand wireless adapter for mine. It was around $40 used off of amazon. It took a little effort to get it set up, but works just fine now.

the $100 one from micorsoft made for the 360, well i had one of those and one day it just took a shit. Never did work again. It never got hit or anything casue I never moe my xbox.

The older style one that was made for the regular xbox worked better and never had any problems. And its still working today at my buddies house on his 360.
