Who had the Antec Skeleton?

I wanted to see what you had to say about it. I am wanting to put together a new rig and its time for a new case (mine has been through 3 different setups). I'm torn between this and something like the Cooler Master HAF 932 (or similar). I searched and I even know I posted in your thread, but cant find it anywhere

I've built one out before, albeit it was the mini skelly.
Its loud for one, and i would probably go with the HAF instead.
I think its more of a gimmick, used as a test bed its awesome. Used as a full on rig, i'd pass.

Thanks for the input. Sound is actually my big factor on my new case. I have a P180 right now, one of the first built. Got it before it was even listed on NewEgg! Its supposed to be quiet, but with 5 120mm and 1 80mm fan, its not the quietest thing around. I might just look into liquid cooling instead.

If sound is a big factor for you, stay away from the skeleton the problem with it, is its a loud slow moving fan and it "humms" if your familiar with large slow fans you'll know what i'm talking about. I would just stay away from it, unless your looking at a test bed for parts and even than there are better test beds out there.

Liquid cooling is cheap right now, sort of at least. The corsair h50 is a good buy, and so is the coolit domino (i run one, and it cools my i7 @ 4.2ghz very well)

Thanks for the advice. Gonna sound like a nub here, but how much quieter is liquid cooling? I mean you obviously still need fans for the radiator/heat exchanger. So what makes it so much better/quieter?

well it really depends on what radiator you get. if you get say a 3x120 rad, you can "afford" to use slower 120mm fans to cool down the radiator to acceptable levels. go with 2x120, you may have to get a bit faster of a fan. Do you get where i'm going with this?

Yea it makes sense. Im a complete stranger to liquid cooling though so I'm gonna have to do a little research

If you were to take the radiator off of your vehicle and try to cool it with airflow only, you would need a fuckload more airflow. Make sense?
