I use a few different programs, but I use it for CAD/CAM applications and not so much architecture and surveys. I use Masercam for all of my 5+ axis or live tooling stuff, very sophisticated program but very expensive. I have a copy of Bob/CAM v23 that I use for the easier 2 or 3 axis stuff. It's a pretty user friendly program that is pretty quick to use. I also have Autocad 2000, and Solidworks that I rarely use. Usually to open or convert existing drawings. I'm not sure any of those programs would do what your looking for. Maybe look into Autocad Civil 3d, Arcitecture, or Inventor as mentioned above.
