broken tv need parts

Hey guys i am going to need the DFWstangs crack team to help me find a capacitor. I have a broken plasma and i traced the problem to a capacitor on the y-sus board. The numbers on the capacitor read HK 105 deg C(m) 250wv 680 uF. I know if i can find a capacitor i can get my poor old tv back up. Could some onelet me know where to find one locally? thanks in advance.

I need to stop betting with Silvercobra03 because I keep losing.

Might be a dumb suggestion, but have you tried Radioshack? Even if they don't actually have one that will work in the store, they may be able to help you locate a source. That or a tv repair shop.

I have not tried a tv repair shop yet but i have tried radio shack. It does not seem they are what they use to be. i was being helped by some young kid who didn't even know they "carried parts like that" but he did try and sell me a phone.

I work at a TV shop but I'm in Abilene.
The important value on the cap is the 680uf(microfarad) The voltage value should be the same or a little bit higher value is OK.

What brand of TV/model# do you have?

Fry's may have capacitors. I have never really gone through that part of the store, but they seem to have a wide variety of stuff when it comes to electronics.

You need to keep the microfarad the same, the voltage can be a little higher.
