my first peek at system volume information

My wifes hard drive crashed after the grandson was playing games all weekend on it. No urgency , I bought another hd installed XP, slaved the old one cause it wouldn't boot and got all the emails, address book , pictures transfered to the new drive ok.

ok, I finally figured how to unlock the SVI folder so I can manually try to replace the corrupt registry with one from a date before the grandson was here. I found the "RP" folder inside the SVI folder that has the date I want to use.

Where do I go from here?
